Went into the Fremont Branch this afternoon for an appointment to get a domestic wire sent. Barbara at the Branch provided five ***** star service. Actually, she was helping other clients that came into the branch while she was assisting me and while I was reviewing the wire instructions. She was very professional and personable.

The people that work in the actual bank are nice. However, the trashy white teller that helped me was beyond apathetic and rude. She wouldn't cash my check because it's from my employer that uses JPMORGAN CHASE. So, now I have to go open an account at JPMORGAN CHASE. I'm definitely leaving PNC. The employees could care less.

I've been very frustrated frequently with this Bank .highly cumbersome and time-consuming experience merely checking account activity. PNC app is useless and crashes often. Just check your balance on the web. App does not populate your login credentials you have to type them in every time.Their statement layout online is not instinctive at all it took me forever to figure out how I look at my checking account activity, (all you do is click on the word "spend" this is not obvious)And now I'm livid because I'm trying to see for how many months a recurring payment was made to a vendor that I don't recognize but to go back more than 3 months you have to open a PDF statement for EACH month and scrollthrough each PDF for each month individually to find the transaction. PDFs are not searchable! So infuriating to only be able to search no further back than 3 months for how far back a recurring transaction goes.

In 2023, "senior" staff at this branch still needed nearly two hours, with step-by-step guidance over the phone, to issue a certified check, although their attitude was fairly decent. PNC's overall experience is nearly a disaster. They kindly offer checking accounts for students without needing an SSN, but you almost always need an SSN for everything else, including essential tasks like password changes and creating an online account. Ironically, even after obtaining an SSN, there's no option in their system to update it. This leaves you enduring incredibly inconvenient working hours and long wait times, repeatedly calling their customer service.

I'd like to give the local branch of PNC Bank an "A" for Effort. They are a small bank, but they try harder! Today, Rosemary helped me for almost 2 hours to set up a CD from funds in my account there. It was more complicated than we had anticipated due to being a joint account, but she stuck with it, even though she was new on the job, and found me the answers I needed. It required two calls to the Back Office, but we eventually simplified things and got the job done all in the same day. Thank you so much, Rosemary, for your patience and working with me today over your lunch hour. Thank you also for your perseverance. And on top of it, I felt I got a really good deal on the CD I purchased. Best wishes, Rosemary, and good luck in your new position at PNC Bank! And I hope you get better support from your team in the software arena so I can give you all a 5-star rating!

I called customer service for a same issue three times yet still unsolved. I have to visit this branch for it. There is only one person serving everyone, only one person in front of me but it takes years. Besides, the ATM doesn’t work and it does not tell me why. A transaction is made from a frozen card. Issues everywhere, time wasting, will switch to another bank.

I picked up checks from here that didn't work (scans failed at a dealership). It was embarrassing. I'd reached out to an employee over an email, didn't hear back.

PNC bank has the worst online banking service. They very rarely help with a solution you call. App has very limited support.

I use the bank without issue. This branch is pathetic. Employees walk by without acknowledging your presence. Been waiting 19 minutes and nothing at all.

Excellent user experience - from the app to website to friendly customer service. Pretty quick service at the bank too.

I opened up a high yield savings account with PNC before their branch was open here as part of an outreach program from them. Once their branch was open here my interest rate was cut, and my account no longer earns an interest rate competitive with almost any other high yield savings account merely because this branch is open here. Members in areas without a branch were eligible for a rate three times mine. I received no notice of my lack of eligibility to continue participating in their high yield savings account. taking into consideration the difference in the interest rate I lost out on a significant amount of money because they decided they didn't want to give me the service they promised.

Worst banking experience of my life.I left today because I did not want to be apart of their teaching a new employees to be actively racist in a way that defies logic and banking regulations.Despite having a Federal ID, State ID, PNC Bank card and a healthy bank account, I was grilled for half an hour while trying to get two cashier checks from my own money in my bank account. They asked how when did I start college and a bunch of irrelevant questions that had nothing to do with request for two cashier checks. I was so disgusted that I went to the Campbell branch and they handled my transaction in a matter of minutes and apologized for my horrific experience at this branch. The Sunnyvale branch lied about so many things that my head was spinning. I was told that my account was new and I guess that they forgot that I have had multiple transactions at that branch since my account was purchased by PNC that includes a large cash withdrawal without my having to prove who I was in ways other than a valid ID, valid passport and my bank card. I was even asked to prove if I was a US citizen at the Sunnyvale branch today. I got the mesage loud and clear. My kind are not welcome there. It was the oddest and most racist experience in my entire life. I'm still in shock as I write this.Oh did I mention that I 1) am not a man and 2) amd not white. So I was basically treated like a criminal for trying to get a couple of cashier checks. I almost closed my account at PNC Bank today and would have had it not been for the Campbell location assuring me that my ID and bank card established who I was and those extra hoops were completely unnecessary. If you like a big steaming cup of racism with your banking then definitely visit this location. I'm considering filing a Consumer Finance Protection complaint against this branch.
