great location, and very friendly staff. the rooms are unfortunately beaten up, I didn't get any sleep. a lot of noise from upstairs, parking, next door. it smelled funky and the cleaning staff didn't replenish items in the room

Poor service. They had maintenance work on parking slots but did not have sufficient notice for it. Elevator was broken. Ac controller was in low battery and went on and off regardless of what’s being set.

Lucy and the staff at aloft where amazing. Clean rooms, Great service, and they have a amazing bar and hang out area. I will definitely be coming back. It's worth coming here ?.
Nearby activities: Food, bars, nightclub, salon, even booba :0
Safety: Sunnyvale is one of the safest cities in the country. And if you do have any issues Sunnyvale police department are quick to respond
Walkability: Walk anywhere no need for Uber (especially after a long night at the bar)
Food and drinks: The hotel is next to downtown Sunnyvale historic Murphy street. Great bars and food within walking distance. (Literally across the street)

Check in time is 3pm. Started stay on a Thursday and at 3:45pm they do not have a room ready.
No concern from the staff, just oh well yiu have to wait.
This isn't Las Vegas...there are not 800 rooms to clean. Just plain bad service to be nearly an hour late.

I’ll rave at the top of my lungs about our experience. We stayed here for four nights, and Lucy, along with her colleagues, was nothing short of amazing. There are several charming restaurants and bookstores to explore, as well as a variety of coffee shops and grocery stores to choose from. In my opinion, it's quite centrally located. Thank you for being so accommodating and kind. A smile goes a long way in this world. Again, thank you Lucy for making our experience worth writing a review about.
Walkability: Everything is near by.

Stayed 2 weeks here, all staffs are super nice and friendly. The location is also perfect, <5mins walking to food, ~10mins walking to Wholefood and AMC. Modern design, chic and clean.

Awesome from desk staff, especially supervisor Lucy and reception staff Scott. Keep in mind this is a value brand, not a luxury Marriott property. Rooms are small, but very clean and modern. Renovations happening even though the property is less than 10yrs old. Nice gym and super close walking to tons of restaurants, shops, movie theater, grocery store. Dog friendly (with a dog fee).

Where do I get started with this hotel, one of the worst experiences I've ever had checking into a hotel. To start off I reserved the biggest suite option they had available as it was my birthday and I wanted to treat myself. To my surprise when i walked into the room i was met with a small queen bed in one of the smallest rooms ive ever seen about 100sq ft bed less that 2 ft from the wall to the bed. I went back down and showed the front desk person my confirmation again that shows i reserved the king suite. He said sorry about that let me get you situated. Gave me another room walked into the room and guess what… still not the room i paid for they got it right with a king bed but still no suite so here i go again down to the lobby and reiterated again the type of room i paid for was not what i was given. Long story short they had no more suites left to offer me and refused to refund me the difference for staying in a room i did not pay for. I ended up refusing to stay and booked another hotel that was able to accommodate me with the nicest suite. It took days to get ahold of the manager of this hotel and in the end they refused to return a single cent back to me. After all the inconveniences they put me through. Terrible
