I was on a 15 hour trip returning home with my wife and kids When my car misfired and the check engine light started flashing and apparently that's a major issue with spark plugs injectors oil pressure a fuel sensor or potentially some other things. We pulled off the highway and surprisingly pulled right into mister tune ups lot. He was helping a customer already but after a few minutes finished up and he was able to have us pull our car into their shop. They checked some codes and found out the censor, spark plugs, and oil issues, then gave us a couple options. the job could take a couple hours to fix(which we didn't have) or fix the oil issue and reset the codes for a quick fix. We chose the 2nd because it was only a single misfire and wasn't reoccurring on any other point on the first 15 hour drive or the first few hours of the return home and we didn't think it would happen again with the added support of the oil taking pressure off the censor or potentially other issues that could be a thing. So they filled the oil and reset the codes and charged us 20$ for the oil and we were on our way and would return to the mechanic when we're home or if the issue appears again Summed up they understood we had kids in the car and understood the time crunch and issue we had. They were quick and did the best for the situation. 5stars Update: 5:31 the next morning and the sun just came up.. we have 15 minutes left until we're home so it's safe to say the quick fix held up, and no issues

BEWARE: Super sketchy business practices! Delayed completion dates, no paperwork, and price gauging. Reported to Automotive Bureau of Automotive Repair.

BEWARE! The owner is a jacka#$s, he is rude, deceitful, homophobic, you name it. He did a lousy job on my vehicle, had me wait over 3 hours for a tune up/oil change. After they were done on my car, the gear was stuck, the horn suddenly stopped working, the engine light came on, car running alot slower and burning alot more gas! I wouldnt be surprised if they did it on purpose themselves! He and his doofus mechanic worker were obnoxious and very discourteous. Don't fall for the reviews that say they're nice! They treated me horrible!, I wouldnt recommend this business to anyone. Not LGBTQ friendly. Owner has serious anger issues.

HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE!!! People that decide to go here, think TWICE!!! you need to be careful with this place. They replace original parts for used ones from a junk place. They steal original parts that are most expensive from your engine or any part of your vehicle and will lie to your face and say that the part your claiming was never there. Guess what they do, they steal the parts and resell it. BE CAREFUL with the owners son and not to mention the owner covers up for the son!!! They are thefts from the owner to the so. And then the mechanic workers.

So I have been driving by mister tune up for 15 years as its 2 blocks from my house. Never stopped in but today i decided after getting some very high quotes to tune up my Escalade at 2 other spots, i decided to stop in. First off let me say Frank JR IS THE GUY TO SEE. He was honest and str8 forward. And went way out of his way for me. I told him my quotes i had gotten else ware and he gladly offered me 50 off the lowest quote i had gotren, same day service and he drove me home so i didnt have to sit around waiting, and then picked me up when my car was done. To even go further out of his way i showed up to drop off my car at 8 am as agreed, and also bought along my roommate and his car that the night before craped out.. He fixed that car to for a super fair price and since my roommate had to work late frank jr delivered the car to my house and never bitched or gave me attitude. Thanks mister tune up and kudos to frank jr.

I love Mister Tune Up. I have been a loyal customer for about 4 years. Frank (the manager) has always been up front. Let me tell you a few scenarios why he is awesome to me. I had gone to get an alignment and new tires different locations, and both locations had told me I needed to replace a ball joint. My mechanic is Roger. Frank told me no replacement you just needed to tighten something....tada problem solved. I drive a lot, so I go every six months to get my brakes changed. Frank tells me, "no need for change, but you had too much dust..we cleaned them out and readjusted them". He could have just changed them and charged me for them. Let's just say it has been 20 months since I changed my brakes, and I drive about 500 miles a week. I have gone with him 3 times to change them and three times he has told me nope not yet. My alternator busted in Pasadena, and I had my car towed to his shop (thanks AAA). I needed to have my car in about an hour to pick my youngest son from school back in Pasadena. I was out of there in 30 minutes. Frank personally went and got the part, and him and Roger replaced the alternator...by the quickness. When I paid the bill, I didn't even question the bill I was happy to pay...even though I found it super reasonable for expedited service. Frank has cars waiting for him to open at 8:00am, and when you drive by you never see the place empty while open for service. This has to tell you something.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had my rear brakes changed here less than a year ago and within 6 months began to hear squeaking. I took my car into the dealer for a scheduled maintenance/oil change and they let me know that my rear brakes needed to be changed as the were worn down to 2.5mm! I let them know that they had been fixed about 6 months ago. The dealer simply looked at me with a sympathetic look and informed me that I had been fooled, there was no way my brakes could have possibly been that worn down in that little time/miles driven!! I called the business and after being hung up in the first time, the second person who spoke to me was extremely rude! He said they only offer 3 months warranty, that he doesn't know who I am, doesn't care and it's not his problem! When questioned if he really believed that my rear brakes could be worn that quickly, if he was OK with just stealing someones money like this, he responded "I told you It's not my problem you should have come back within 3 months!" Any person knows that rear drum brakes should be changed AT MOST every 60,000 miles! This was the most devious, unprofessional "business operation" that I have EVER Been to! Do NOT BE FOOLED BY A "GOOD DEAL".. They are stealing your money! You will regret it, I promise! I have also reported them to the B.A.R.
