Best Guy Around! Personally used his services based in Long Beach to cremate my dad, but was ecstatic when i found he opened services in this area, which i frequent. Thank you Mr. Allen ! Your job is hard enough, and during covid i am sure you were overwhelmed and overflowed. Not easy dealing with legal matters and restrictions working with actual death!

In case you haven’t read, Mark, the polite, professional owner of this astoundingly pristine funeral home, has had his license revoked by the Cemetery and Funeral Board. Eleven bodies were found in the funeral home in various states of decay and mummification, in a “cold storage” area that was described as being roughly 60°F.

Sorry to all the families affected. What a horrible owner and no-one should ever have to experience this especially when grieving.

First and for most I have to say, I just finished reading some reviews left about this business. I must say I was left speechless.... I was furious and ready to go off only about my grandmothers situation. But i now see we aren't alone and this man did far worse to many other families. Now I will like to share how this man gave my grandmother a difficult time when we loss our grandfather almost 2 years ago. I recently found out she paid for the urn and reached out to him about updates multiple times. He either gave her the run around or simply left her outside business doors knocking trying to speak with someone. Not to mention all the stress he put her through trying to locate his ashes or just get a date for when she would receive them. I read how this place might have been shut down and I pray to God it really is closed for good and that the families he gave a difficult time to and beyond the worse type of customer care. Can find peace in knowing God has you and he won't give up on any of us. I hope all the grieving families get justice for what he put them through after they put their trust in him. All the laws this man broken while in business need to be addressed by the city asap!

This place had a bad smell for months... it was recently discovered that Mark had many bodies rotting inside. During this time, Mark was too busy contacting attorneys about negative reviews rather than properly attending the bodies he had rotting, clearly, as the smell as been there for months before thus discovery.

Some people are just not meant to run or own a business, and Mr. Allen is perfect proof of that. His responses to negative reviews are astonishing! He’s never wrong and is quick to put the blame on his clients, it’s clear that he was making the same mistakes over and over again, hope he never gets the opportunity to work in the industry again! Good Riddance

I wish I could give ZERO stars. Do not use this place. Worst experience I have ever had. My dad passed away on June 4th 2020 of Covid. My family and I hired Mark B Allen Mortuary services to be held on June 20th 2020 at 12:30pm. We never received invoice for services that my sister in-law requested weeks before funeral services. The day of funeral which I arrived at 11:30am in case I needed to help with anything. To be included in services was zoom video conference so other family & friends could watch while staying safe from Covid. The zoom did not happen because they couldn't get it to work, so instead my sister in law had to record from her phone. We were also suppose to have military present for services and they did not show. We were also suppose to receive copies of death certificates which we never received. All of this which was included in price that WE did not receive. Mark B Allen arrived ten mins before services. I was obviously shaken and upset that nothing was set up and technical issues would not allow for the zoom for other family to view. Mark then started yelling at me in front of family friend and getting close in threatening manner. I was extremely uncomfortable and scared to have him in such a threatening way that close to me. After services it took him an hour to furnish invoice. Also the room in which the services were held reeked of terrible smell. They kept spraying but nothing worked. I pulled my checkbook to pay and he said no I will send you zelle information instead. We emailed him a week after services and called and NO RESPONSE still till this date. He then sends me certified mail 6 months later asking for payment and trying to extort a late fee of over $1,500 on top of payment. This has been emotionally draining and I am still grieving the loss of my father yet dealing with a dishonest business owner who is taking advantage of people dealing with grief and the current pandemic. When you are dealing with a loss of parent you should have to worry about a business taking advantage of you.
