This is a very cool place to visit. One if a kind shop/prop rental/and sort of a museum of old tech. They have all kinds of parts/hardware/tech. Old and vintage that you probably can't find anywhere else. Some stuff they only rent out as props for Movies/Shows. They have big outdoor area with unique items. If you are searching for a part you can't find, they most likely will have it here. If you like tinkering with gadgets and building/repairing old tech, you will enjoy this place. I had some equipment at home from another place I needed to test before return period expired. The first time I came here to find a rca to bnc adapter that no one sells anymore and they had it. Adam, Mike, and Steve are all very polite, friendly, and professional.

This is where electronics and military hardware go when they die.If you are technically inclined, or even if you aren't, you have to see it once anyway.Whatever you're looking for they have it. Finding it has become much more likely as they have really gone overboard organizing the place.

This store is a one-of-a-kind GOLD MINE of electronic gear and related parts! There are so many hard to find items it's amazing and a bit overwhelming. As a hobbyist and an engineer, I have spent many hours there findng parts that I have have needed for various projects over the years..items that cant be found anywhere else. Many parts and supplies are available that I have not seen in many decades! That's what makes this store so unique, and you just don't find places like this anywhere else. It is a great resource for makers, hobbyists, experimenters, handy and tech-savvy people that can repair and repurpose things into new life. Thanks for all you guys do, please keep the stuff coming and don't ever close down!!

Apex Electronics? More like 'Nadir Electronics'! This place is a heart-wrenching tragedy for any true electronics aficionado. Picture this: a graveyard of once-glorious gadgets, now languishing in utter decay, victims of shocking neglect. It's not just a store; it's a scene of historical vandalism. As I wandered through the aisles, the contrast was stark and heartbreaking – some items coddled in relative safety, while genuine treasures were mercilessly exposed to the ravages of time and weather. The irony of their name hit me like a freight train. 'Apex' implies a pinnacle, but all I saw was a dizzying plunge into carelessness and ruin. An absolute disgrace to the legacy of electronics!

Such a cool establishment. Wild collection of materials to rent and buy. And the 'live' electronics shipping container is a real treat. Ownership is friendly and helpful.

If you need the kind of stuff they sell at Apex - then as far as I know - within LA - there's no better place. The magnitude of their collection of wares is second to none, and it's all arranged in a reasonably logical order. I can't go there unless I have quite a bit of time to spare because it's easy to lose track of time exploring the aisles. While this place is incredible it's hard not to feel a little sad looking at all this stuff. Just like Lukeys hardware most of the stock for sale (I believe) comes from the countless long-shuttered businesses that used to be part of the immense SFV aircraft manufacturing supply chain. If you're old enough you might recall a time when we used to build airplanes here.

So cool! Tons of inventory! Every type of wire going back many decades. All sizes of heat exchangers. Old solder posts! Really cool movie props too! They don't charge admission but they could.

Most things here are only for rent. Those that are for sale are typically pretty expensive or in rather poor condition. Worth a look though.

A national treasure. They continue to clean it up and organize it further. While the surplus just isn't coming in like it use to, there are still things to find and they are willing to work with you on prices.A greater LA area institution.
