friendly staff, great outdoor spaces with views of the water (and highway 101) and a nice space in the back of the tasting room for shuffle board, etc . Try the Cab frank and the chilled pinot. good prices and very wide selection.

Their dog-friendly front porch makes for a delightful and relaxing late-afternoon hang. The service was warm and friendly, and after being offered tastes from 4-5 bottles, we enjoyed glasses of chilled pinot grigio and chardonnay under the waning sun with some delicious goat cheese and artisan apricot and pistachio crackers. Bottles don't come cheap ($45-$55), but the wine club seems an incredibly tempting deal since it also offers free monthly tasting flights for up to 4 people. After such a chill and memorable afternoon, one might consider making the trek from LA a monthly stop!

The wine vintages offered are very recent (2021 & 2022) and very expensive. ( I know of better wines and vintages in my local grocery store). This makes the Tasting Room appear pretentious and snobbish. The quality also wasn't very good. This is also essentially self serve (think DIY without DIY prices) if you need/want any nibbles, which always makes the wine tasting experience better in terms of palate and true wine flavors. Their website pictures suggesting food is available is misleading. They essentially pointed to some expensive crackers, salami and cheese and said "it's over there on the wall" and in their cooler. You are left to pry such open, cut it and serve yourself. The noise from the traffic on the very close freeway (101) is also not helpful to even attempting conversation. There are much better wines and better Tasting Rooms nearby, such as in Santa Barbara. We know, we went there as well. There is no parking offered.

I was wandering around Summerland and decided to check out the tasting room. Annette was friendly and knowledgeable and I thoroughly enjoyed both the wine and the experience. A pleasant way to spend an hour or so.

I just moved to the area and found a gem! This is a cute wine tasting room, their staff is friendly and welcoming.

Summerland Winery is always a win with my friends. They have perhaps some of the best grenache roses that I always look forward.The vibe of the tasting area is always lovely and their employees are always incredible and knowledgeable.

What a nice place to stop and enjoy a great wine tasting experience. I enjoyed the reds but my husband enjoyed the whites so we bought 2 bottles of rose. Wine tasting is free when you purchase 2 bottles. The server was friendly and gave us great recommendations for dinner.

We have stopped at summerland winery several times on our way up to Santa Barbara or northern California. This time, we joined! Great wine! Relaxing tasting room! Great staff! Malcolm is awesome! He is very knowledgeable and a lot of fun! My rule about wineries - if you like 90% or more of the wines and you're going to buy some, why not join? Of shipments and be able to come and have a free tasting as a member!

Good Cab. Franc and Petite Verdot. Chilly at night bring layers, outside only tastings. Friendly lady who pored and knew alot about the make of each wine.
