Been going to this gym for over 2 years, never have had a problem. Though there is one thing that has been bugging me recently, steam room room has been down for about 2 months and when I asked the front desk when it’s going to open, they told me closed until further notice. I love ending my workout with a steam room sesh so I really hope it gets fixed soon.

I joined the gym through Kaiser hospital, and I am happy to say it’s worth it. I tell my friends that the gym I use has a wide array of exercise equipment, classes and friendly competitions. Their staff is readily available to help you when needed. I love my gym and the members there, are quick to show you how to use the exercise machines without a second thought or making you feel inadequate, the staff is caring and supportive.

Amenities are good compared to other gyms in the area, in my opinion. I appreciate how other gym members are respectful. I feel safe to workout here. They added new machines.
However, customer service etiquette needs improvement. I was on the phone with the manager, and she was helping me resolve a task. While we were on the phone for 5 minutes, she told me she would take another call. I waited for another 2 minutes. It is unprofessional for her to take another call when I was first and we were in the middle of resolving my issue, and she could've called back the other person afterwards. I think management needs to be re-evaluated at this location.
Based on how I was treated by staff, I don't feel as valued.

We got rid of our family membership as they do not enforce the rules for the pool area, lanes are meant to be reserved and on several times of coming in and our reserved lane was in use and when asked if they had reserved a lane they hadn't and gave us a lot of attitude over it. People bring in 4+ kids and then just leave them unattended in the pool area where they run around (only 2 people are supposed to be in a lane) and they are usually jumping from the spa to the pool because whoever brought them in doesn't watch them . Several times people have brought babies into the pool with diapers on that were leaking into the pool water. There is another gym member that is constantly in the gym in the pool area he is always staring at the women in the aerobics class and other women in the pool area very creepy. There are way too many coming in from exercising and going in fully clothed into the steam and Sauna just very grose to go in after 20 something people come out at once.

The staff here are incredible. Always polite, courteous, and friendly. I've never had an issue with equipment never being available. The classes they have too are a blast. The instructors are amazing and help program the class for people of all fitness levels. New classes like Mobility Stability and Balance now added and yoga classes being added soon in the day time. Check it out.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. This is by far the worst gym I have ever been to, and any five star reviews on Yelp must be fake! Sure, the people at the desk will welcome you (if they are not engaged in conversation among themselves), and will sometimes say "Have a nice day", again, if they are not engaged in conversation among themselves. There is never anyone cleaning or wiping down machines, which is what employees at a gym should be doing if the desk is not busy. They only have THREE stair machines, and they are in the corner so if you don't want people all up your space and hitting on you then you are out of luck. They allow people to slam weights (usually people wearing HUGE headphones who presumably can't hear the weights slam), and the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Tonight I decided to NEVER go back because for about the fifth time I have seen some pathetic clown working out/posing without his shirt on, like he's God's gift to Suisun City. The first time I saw this, I told the desk, and after about 10 minutes they reluctantly went and told the fool to put his shirt back on, and made sure to look at me so the guy knew that it was me who complained. I would have told him myself but it's not my job, it's the gym's job. It happened a few more times and I just blew it off, but tonight I was just in the mood. Again, some clown was in the aerobics room (with females in the room who were NOT with him), and he's jumping rope, posing, etc. with no shirt on. I went to the desk and asked if it's just fine for me to work out without a shirt on and the attendant said "No" and looked at me like I was crazy, so I said, "Good, can you go tell that clown to put his freaking shirt on then?" The guy looked in the aerobics room AND DIDN'T SAY OR DO A THING to the guy. He just walked back to the desk to continue chatting with the female attendant. I just packed up and left. This place is so pathetic that I won't be back, even though I live just about three minutes away. I would rather drive all the way to another gym (which is in a much more ghetto area, but has a much nicer gym and clientele) than ever go to In-Shape again. Also, here's a tip: if you MUST go to this horrible gym, and you have USAA, use the USAA Active and Fit membership. It allows you to join several gyms for a flat rate of about $27 per month. Right now I belong to Planet Fitness, In-Shape, and the Salvation Army Kroc Center, and my total bill every month is $27. For the love, please do yourself a favor and join a less expensive, cleaner gym that doesn't cater to self-absorbed people who can't understand that no one wants to see them half naked, and a gym that employs people who give a **** about their club and will enforce the dress code and stop people from slamming weights. Oh, also, Hercules, if you have to SLAM the weights down, it means that your trying to lift above your abilities. Accept your limitations and use less weight.

I like the sense of community among members and staff..General manager Blanca always accessible and able to address my questions. Ari and Terrel are my favorite instructors because of their knowledge and friendly bubbly personality.

Love this gym. My biggest impression is how clean the locker room, showers and floors are. Been to other gyms and they were filthy. I really feel good about the locker room

The staffs in the club in particular the Rashida in the front desk and the manager are exceptional. Although the facility is old, it has been kept very clean and functioning properly.
