I’m a taxi driver in LA. Never been to this store but I picked up the president of Ito-Ya, Mr Akira Ito, from LAX yesterday. I believe Ito-Ya is the Tokyo based parent co. of Topdrawer. Mr Ito treated me like an equal, had a great story & history, was very funny and, a great tipper! If Topdrawer is anything like Mr Ito they must be First Class. Thank you Mr Ito. Sincerely, David.

I have made the trip to this classy shop twice now, coming from West L.A., and I would gladly do it again and again. The lady (Daisy) who assisted both times was so caring and helpful, it made me remember how nice an in-store shopping experience can be. WELL DONE!

I was looking for a stationary location and this place came up. They have pens, stickers and some journals. However, this is an upscale gift shop... especially if you are shopping for a male.The service was friendly and attentive without being evasive.I'm going back for pens some day. This time around I just got some unique 'Thank you' post cards.Respectfully Reviewed.

I did a random search for stationery stores in the Valley and found Topdrawer... I'm so happy I did! I love stationery stores especially Japanese stationery stores!!!They have so many awesome things: Need a high-quality journal? Looking for a fountain pen? What about a polaroid camera or film? Some comfy house slippers? They have all these things and more!The store is immaculate & very tidy, everything perfectly in its place. It almost feels like a museum, well at least the gift store LOL I love it!!! The staff are friendly and very attentive but not obtrusive.Topdrawer is located on Ventura Blvd in Studio City so there are lots of other shops and food spots so it's a fun place to come to. Parking is street but I think there are lots across the street.Oh, I bought a Japanese handkerchief & a couple of pens :)

Have you ever walked into a store and just breathe out a sigh of relaxation? Well, this store does it for me. Everything, I mean everything, in here I wanna take home. The pen selection is *chef's kiss*. Everything is well organized and easy to find. The staff, friendly. What more can I ask for. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. I'm coming for one of those backpacks when I come back!!

Beautiful store with high quality goods at a reasonable price. Not cheap. But a great value. Very unique bags, sunglasses, stationery and house shoes. The staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Truly a great addition to Abbot Kinney.
