RW is a wonderful part of our local community. The gentlemen who run it and the young woman who works there are also gems. The store itself has countless treasures, but their service and hospitality make it exceptional. They also work with local culinary and creative artists so there are truly unique finds among their merchandise. They make any occasion special!

Happened by shop while visiting CA. What a wonderful shopping experience. We made a number of in-person purchases and then placed an online order upon my return home. My purchases arrived. I LOVE my purchases. I purchased a back pack, t-shirt, and because I had to wait for the bag to arrive, was comp'd a bottle of vanilla. Unexpected and very kind!While the purchases were great, it was Scott that we LOVED! He is a precious, precious man. He helped us with our selections. Our shopping experience was so much fun. Restrained Whimsy is hands down the best gift shop I have ever been fortunate enough to come across.We will be in CA in November and hoping to make it to your store again in time for the holidays. If not, no worries. When my purchases arrived it was the wrapping that got me! IT WAS SO LOVELY! Scott, you are truly a lovely person and I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to happen by your shop and meet you. I look forward to working with you again. HUGS

Really good selection of gift items (candles, soaps, chocolate, cards, and a lot more), perfect for anniversaries, birthdays, or just a Tuesday. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Came in here for a birthday card for a friend, walked out with a bag full of items for myself. I used to shop at the store occasionally before the ownership change, and let me say how much more fabulous and inviting they have made the place. The owner, Scott, was extremely knowledgable about the array of items he has curated, and it makes the experience enjoyable. First, let me say I usually think greeting cards are so cheesy, making it hard for me to want to buy any, but they had a lot of really good ones, making it hard for me to choose just one. I bought myself a delicious black cherry bourbon candle and two candle holders (one a lady in a yoga pose, and one a hand in gyan mudra.) I will be back for some of the kitchen/food and bath items, maybe some of the jewelry and tchotchkes, and probably more candles for myself. Maybe it should be called Unrestrained when I am in there! And if I need a gift for someone, this will definitely be a go-to place. I love these types of stores; they remind me of places I used to go, growing up in NY. I cannot recommend this place enough--definitely go check it out, and give yourself time to walk around and really explore the store, so many wonderful items.

Such a lovely little shop. Has everything you might think of for gift giving rather it be Male, Female, Adult, or a little tike. I'm always in search of stationary when I see gift shops... or at the very least unique note cards. I have to admit I wasn't dressed to go shopping and being African American, this almost invites the magnetic eyes of shopkeepers... (it's the world we live in DON'T be mad at me for pointing it out) However I will mention service was relaxed no harassment and great conversation. Largely due to my winning ways LOL and engaging with said, Shopkeeper. I adored their book selection as well as the greeting cards. Not sure about their gift wrapping as I only purchased 2 small items. I have a return trip bookmarked for their Italian stationery with matching decorative envelopes.Respectfully Reviewed

Just walked in to buy wrapping paper or a gift bag. The shop keeper was extremely rude and stared at me the entire time as if I was going to steal something. I have another birthday and would have bought more stuff. You just lost a potential lifetime customer. Good job

I cannot say enough how wonderful the store is! They have such a wonderful selection of gifts and Scott one of the owners along with Brian, well he is just amazing! Everytime he helps me pull great gift ideas together, and to top it off he also wraps them so beautifully that the person that is receiving the gift is made to feel special.If you want unique and wonderful gifts you need to check this gem out.
