“My first trip to Los Angeles was in 2003, and we stayed at the Sportsmans Lodge. I loved every minute. Perfectly situated for anything you could want. The long gone Twains restaurant was our first meal in The Valley, on the night we got there. Since then, my son and i stayed at the Sportsmans 4 more times, and met several well known actors who were also staying there. Unfortunately, after it as refurbished in 2014(?) it became too expensive to stay at, but we did visit it on our 2016 holiday to LA, albeit just once. I'll miss it very much ? “I spent one night at the inn, and it was a good enough experience. Easy check-in, friendly manager, parking on premises, and a comfy bed. The room was smallish and the bathroom was very tiny, but overall I don't have much to complain about. The location is amazing on Ventura Boulevard.”
“Well located for a reasonably cheap stay in Los Angeles. If you want to drive south in to downtown LA, it's about a 15 minute drive through the lovely Laurel Canyon (home to many rock stars of the 1960s and 1970s).
The rooms are basic but they're perfectly clean, the staff are helpful and there's a charged laundry facility on site.
They currently offer a free simple breakfast (coffee, fruit, yoghurt, pastries) which are most welcome!
There's also a Ralph's which is five minutes walk away, which is a good-sized supermarket.”

“Nearby activities: Walking distance to or from Universal Studios
Safety: Not too safe to walk under the bridge (tunnel) when walking to or from Universal Studios. Nothing to do with the hotel but the city has to find a solution to clean up the tunnel
Food and drinks: Nice spot to grab snacks and drinks. Also has a separate bar
Noteworthy details: Be prepared to pay for overnight parking”
“My week before my tiny vacation was stressful. I got to the room and the services were all amazing. All staff were helpful and the area was supper clean. Thank you ??”
