Cut was mid. They charged me an extra $6 for a “skin fade” that is the normal haircut I have always gotten at Floyd’s which is a taper. They seem to have stopped using the razor blade on the neck and offering massages which I thought was their signature thing. The stylist cut the length off my to using clippers instead of scissors and left a lumpy look. So many better places.

My first visit to Floyd's 99 Barbershop was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I walked in, I was immediately struck by how clean and well-organized the shop was. I needed to find a new hair stylist after my regular person moved to the East Coast. I happen to get a seat in Amelia's chair & I was very happy with the whole experience.
I've been back 3 times since & referred a friend who also was happy with Amelia's services!
Stylist: Amelia is great. Her warm personality & happy attitude make for a pleasant experience as well as being a terrific stylist.

Was in LA for the day and needed a hair cut. Had high hopes since my friends go here however I'm a bit upset with my haircut because I asked for texture and layers but didn't really get that. The layers dont even make sense because the top layer is the longest. I asked for it to be shorter in the back but then it turned into a bob cut that isnt even on both sides :/I showed pictures of a wolf cut that I had in the past but what I ended up getting looks nothing like the photos. I'm conflicted because my hair dresser was super nice and I wish her all the best however now I'm at home giving myself a second haircut that I hopefully dont mess up after I paid $50 :(Customer service was amazing and everyone was super friendly which is why I'm still giving 4 stars. Just not the right fit for me I guess-

Everyone here is great. The service is excellent and the staff is very friendly! I come here for a beard trim and they do a fantastic job every time. Highly recommend!

I wish the prices didn’t keep rising but Diane is awesome and always gives me a haircut I feel confident walking out with! The neck shave and back massage are small but important touches that keep me coming back.
