In a perfect world, I would never have to come here. ? I personally don't give a crap about "being seen" or overpaying for all of my groceries for clout, or whatever. lol
HOWEVER. I do come here occasionally, & it's more often than I would like. Because Erewhon does something that nobody else does: they carry specialty diet products & smaller brands that aren't widely distributed. & I appreciate that. They also appear to have slightly stricter quality/ingredient standards than a lot of the other health-focused chains now.
I used to come here for Fermenting Fairy kefir & sauerkraut before she moved to Florida. Then it was a different brand of sauerkraut - Wild West Ferments, I think. Now it's mainly for Beelers bacon, the Brown Butter Baking Co cupcakes, their in-house made chili crunch, the occasional in-house keto brownie or caramel peanut butter bombs, or Koko Kai coconut yogurt.
This was the first place I could buy Sauz, & thanks to Erewhon, they were able to expand into Whole Foods & their prices eventually went down.
I think Toodaloo didn't survive, but Clusterbucks did. Better Sours used to only be here as well, & now they carry them at Ralph's.
Lots of success stories because this place was willing to stock & take a chance on a small, new, local brand & give them a fighting chance to build a fanbase. That gives them the leverage to eventually make their way into a larger chain, paving the way for nationwide distribution if they desire.
I don't agree with everything Erewhon does, & some of their products are absolutely overpriced solely because they know their clientele will pay it anyway - but as long as they keep offering special things relevant to my diet/lifestyle that I can't get elsewhere, I will keep showing up for them. Reluctantly, but that doesn't really matter to them. ?

Sorry, I’m asking for heating up my food. Not caring at all. They come back saying « sorry kitchen is closed » I’m asking for a microwave at worst not to cook me a whole new meal…

The healthiest store I have ever been to. Their breads are the best. Expensive but you get what you paid for.

Something wrong with the kitchen in this location. Today I got breakfast potato which was mixed with left over potatoes. I already had a few accidents before and talked to the manager, but accidents continue to happen. It’s annoying. When Erewhon was under private ownership the food was amazing, tasty and great cooking quality, some of the dishes don’t taste the same anymore. Now it’s sold to corporation, the quality slowly getting worst.

I love quality. That quality even exists in this world. Thank you Erewhon for providing a higher level of life and enjoyment. The only problem at this location is the parking, they should get rid of needing a ticket, I imagine it creates so much waste and most people are in and out anyway, the ticket thing slows everyone down.
Also anyone that is complaining because they are poor, that's like doing a 1 star review on a diamond store saying you have no money like dude ... this is where you can take money to get higher quality. Why complain about the basic concept of the store *solely* because you are poor right now like get a job

I know it’s expensive, but it’s also a super healthy and as a single woman that works long hours, I find Erewhon to be a godsend! I really appreciate the great staff. They have there as well, specifically, Randy and Andres. Thanks guys!

One of the worst locations in Los Angeles. people working at the registers do not know how to scan items or how efficiently to pack bags. I ordered a smoothie. I asked them to not make it too sweet, they said they can’t modify anything when they put too much sweetener in it, which is ridiculous because other locations are able to adjust it. Overall, they have one of the worst customer services I’ve ever experienced.

I love the food and grocery items. The smoothies can be a hit or miss as they don’t have much consistency. One day it’ll taste amazing the next way too much banana or salt? lol
Knocking off 2 stars for the horrible customer service. A cafe worker (possible shift lead?) gave my friend attitude a couple weeks ago which we brushed off. This last week I came alone and was disrespected. It left a really bad taste in my mouth so I emailed support where she just gaslit me and
made excuses for her employee.

Way too over priced. Staff look at you and don’t offer help.

They call this place the rich man's whole food . This place was bought by the same people who owned Dean and Deluca . Had to try Haily Beibers strawberry smoothie, which can only be bought from here. It costs about $20 but is worth the money . We spent about $300 and was well worth it . When Dean and Deluca were in George Town, I frequently ate there . They closed down in D.C. years ago . Come out to California and look what I found one of my favorite food places .

Busy @ the foodbar, but line moves quickly. The kbbq burrito with sauce on the side is my go to! Parking is free for first 90 mins.

Love the market, but the PARKING IS THE WORST IN LOS ANGELES. Also, I'm really repulsed by the amount of Uber drivers SMOKING in the dining area - it's illegal and no one from Erewon enforces it. These elements can be changed, but for now - it's an AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
