“Loved this shop and the staff! Bikerowave is a an awesome non-profit with some reasonably priced bikes. The people are passionate about fixing bikes and making sure everyone can experience the joys of biking. Michael helped me pick a bike and spent 30 minutes talking through the different considerations in buying a used bike. He also let me test ride the different bikes and also helped me understand the differences in the types of gears and speeds. I ultimately got a used mountain bike there for about $180 but they had bikes in the low $100 range or less. There was also a kid's bike for $25. There is always a chance you find a cheaper bike on OfferUp but this shop has a great mission and has people that truly care about biking. Highly recommend checking it out!”

You can bring a photo of what you are wanting to change. The local native plant nursery, which is privately owned, near Hahamongna, is not a good choice.”

“I recently had my cat treated at this CAMP location. I drove 25+ miles to get here but I am so happy I did! My cat had surgery this day and they made drop off and pick up very easy. They took great care of my Jinx and he had healed nicely. There is plenty of parking in the front of the building and also a large lot in the back for overflow parking if needed. The building itself was beautiful and fits in with the historic sites in the City. While my cat was being treated, I was able to explore the area and the old Mission which is walking distant from the CAMP. I highly recommend taking your babies to this facility.”
“I was looking in other places and in this office Yeny treated me very kindly. He explained to me what my citizenship interview would be like and thank God I passed it. She prepared me very well. I'm very grateful. I recommend this brotherhood to her and her too.”
“Ring bell for Carlos if gift shop is shuttered but hours say open. Super delicious toffee. Pumpkin bread is their signature bakery hood and once seasonal only cranberry proved so popular it’s available year round. Be warned Carlos is an excellent salesman and you might leave feeling swindled but don’t worry everything you buy supports the nuns and boy does that peanut brittle sneak up on you proving Carlos correct. Eaten without it’s counterparts it is addictive bc it’s not sickly sweet like other brittle. Easy to polish off an entire bag. Carlos will also give a history of the monastery and tell lots of entertaining stories of visitors describing the goods as crack to which Carlos will reply that he has never tried crack so can’t rightfully compare. There are also more salacious Thorn Bird and Milkman esque gossip for the less easily offended. And nuns are human ones like when they go to See’s to check out the competition. Oh and you can also quiet reflect in chapel and gardens.”

“FixNation is truly an organization that cares for kitties. This organization is AMAZING !! The staff is nice and helpful, the paperwork process is easy! Donations are welcome and VERY well deserved ! I'm so thankful to them for helping us with Trixie a feral kitten that showed up in our backyard. Took months for her to trust us and I kept researching several places to help me get her spayed before she had kittens herself. Thanks to FIxNation Trixie will be able to live her life as a free and safe cat!”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Palisades Preschool! Our son has been attending this remarkable establishment, and it's nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and dedication that this school exudes. The individualized attention that every child receives is truly remarkable. The staff is deeply committed to ensuring each child's unique needs and strengths are nurtured. One of the things that sets Palisades Preschool apart is its carefully structured activities that encourage collaboration, discovery, and engagement. It's not just about keeping kids busy; it's about fostering their curiosity and helping them develop important life skills. My son has learned so much, and he genuinely looks forward to going to school every day.The teachers are the heart and soul of this school. They are wonderful, patient, and incredibly caring. Their dedication to the children is evident in every interaction, and they make learning a fun and engaging experience. The director, too, deserves special mention. She is kind, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable about young children and their development. Her guidance and leadership are evident in the school's philosophy and approach, and it truly makes a difference in the quality of education the children receive.Beyond the fantastic education, Palisades Preschool offers a wonderful community of diverse families. It's heartwarming to see parents from all walks of life come together, united in the common goal of wanting the best for their children and each other's children. The sense of camaraderie and support is truly outstanding. If you're looking for a preschool that goes above and beyond to provide a nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment for your child, Palisades Preschool is the place to be. I couldn't be happier with the experiences my son is gaining here, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent seeking a top-notch early education for their child.”

2460 Overland Ave, Los Angeles“This place is a staple in West LA! I stop by every chance I can - they always have new items being put on the floor, all reasonably priced and great sales and events. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, especially Em! I tell everyone I know to go stop in and check out the great selection at this store. I highly recommend it!”
“Went with the family on a Saturday afternoon to see and learn about unique animals. The girls (age 5) truly enjoyed their time as the tour was very informative and interactive, a lot was learned during that 45-60 tour. A variety of unique and ecotic animals are there (reptiles, birds, fish, a big cat, a fox, tarantulas, and more) along with their unique backstory.Getting there you have to slow down as you near, its a turn onto a small street into a business center where parking is shared with other businesses, buts theres sufficient space on the weekend. Small wait time as you wait for the tour guide to finish another tour and your time to arrive, but outside they gave a play area to pass the time or rest. Great staff as well, the overall experience was great and wellworth it.”
“Please strongly consider volunteering some tone to help the cats thereIt's not the type of commitment where you have to do X amount every other day or week, you help when you can & they will appreciate it.”

“One of my absolute favorites! I’m a second hand, thrifting, vintage lover. This shop is conveniently located by the 405 and 101 and always has parking. Really great stuff, especially house goods and cool vintage clothes. I decorated my wedding with thrifted dishes, glassware, cake holder, etc. I got some great pieces here and a cute brown leather belt. I have also donated my gently used items here. I’m an animal lover so I really love that it’s for animals! ???”
“Just got to visit once with my daughter. My grandson is hard of hearing. We went to Friday Family School. The staff is so helpful. They are engaging with the children AND adults. They teach the whole family so we can best help our children and grand children. The facility is clean & beautiful, too.”

“My friends place is a very unique place. Two months ago because of my stupidity my whole life fell apart. I stayed in my car for a few days before I discovered MFP. First day I went in I got access to a roof on top of my head all thanks to Woody. Even though he left to pursue further studies I will forever be indebted to him. I'm a frequent "client"(they call homeless folks clients/young people) mainly go in there for free food(they have the best free snack shop), tap cards, and clothes. They also offer many other services. Ms. Ty is my favorite at MFP. She is beautiful both outside and on the inside. She gives out this amazing older cousin vibe which consists of nurture, love, and care. I was surprised to learn that she has been working there for less than a year given by the proficiency she shows at her job. I'm lucky to have MFP and MFP is lucky to have Ms. Ty. Cisco is the ever smiling Job guy and is there to help with any occupational needs. Chase is the homie who hooked me up with a skateboard which was my primary commute until recently. Violetta is super nice and always greets me first. Like Ms. Ty she's also really pretty. Roxy, Jorge are all like my favorite family members that are not related to me. Joey the big dude may look intimidating from the outside but has a heart of gold. People whom he is superior of are lucky to have a boss like him. Roger is the man, always hooking it up. The reason why I wrote this lengthy review is for the future donors to know how amazing organization they are donating to. Because of MFP I'll soon move into my own apartment and get my car back. This is a great place for any donation. God bless whoever established this organization, it's donors, and Heather and Erin(even though I never met them I have only heard good things about them), and the volunteers for working for free and dealing with the craziness.”
“Without any doubt, the best narrative driven school of the world (at least of my world). In this place, you learn STORY, hence it transforms you. Also, if you ever get a DRIVING CONE with your name by a free parking spot, that’s THE SIGN you made it. AFI Alumni will get this post. The rest, just trust this post is pretty accurate.”
“My Hollywood Ca WW1 purple heart Veteran Grandfather Charles Zachary Chapman & His WW11 Veteran son My Dad Robert E. Chapman were members of Post 43 back in the day... not far from the Hollywood Bowl where I've relished many fabulous summer evening concerts.”
“Yes, obtaining a permit is no easy task, and there's quite a few hurdles to jump through, however I highly recommend working with Ramona. She is super helpful, very prompt with responses, knowledgable, and thorough when relaying information. 10/10 experience working with her!”
