After moving to LA 10yrs ago & having the same man in Chicago cut & color my hair for 18yrs, I was terrified of going somewhere new! I am finally "at home" with Claudio & Jacklyn! Claudio's cuts are artfully precise, he is patient & actually listens to what I want and executes it perfectly every time! For highlights, Jacklyn is a true artist herself! She designs the perfect color palette for my hair every time, that actually seems to last longer than other salons I've gone to in LA! I also love the relaxing, calm atmosphere & their music playlists put me at ease every time! Huge plus to note, when you're with them, its only your appointment; other salons I've tried have 3 or more customers they're attending to at the same time, which has led to some grisly fried hair results for me! I love my one on one time at Hairem!

Hairem is the best! Jaclyn has been coloring my hair for the past 5 years and even when it grows out, folks ask whether I've had my hair done. My hair has also been the healthiest it's even been. Claudio is amazing with haircuts and my layers look great even in between appointments!

Both hair stylist had super good vibes & very nice / accommodating I went in super hungover & jaclyn was super nice and sweet she completely understood how to make me feel comfortable. She is AMAZING with HAIR ! I love the color & Cut everything was just spot on! I would definitely recommend to others and I love the decor of the salon.

I haven’t let anyone give me more than a teeny tiny trim in over a decade. I have too much PTSD from too many awkward haircuts. But lately I just knew if I wanted to really love my hair again, I had to surrender to a real haircut.
Then it occurred to me. Its time to go to Claudio Lazo.
I have a girlfriend who has been going to him for over fifteen years and her hair is always, ALWAYS on point. And he’s a hair legend. I had wanted to go see him myself but I was a single mom raising two girls on my own and an expensive haircut wasn’t in my budget. But kids are grown now, and My spidey senses told me if anyone knew how to wake my hair back up, it was Claudio.
His new(ish) space Hairem is awesome, homey but not in the way you might think. It’s comfortable and funky and hip. It feels personal, which most salon studios don’t get right.
And… my Spidey senses were right. I am so happy with my hair. He heard (not just listened but actually heard) what I wanted and told me what was realistic and asked if I was attached to my length. Like a lot of women I know, that answer is yes. But this time I said no, take off what needs to come off. This is NOT how I am about my hair- I’m usually very protective of the length (and no one touches my bangs ever) and not so casual as this. But I just relaxed and trusted Claudio.
Now- most people who know me wouldn’t even realize I got a haircut. It wasn’t super drastic or anything. He cut layers and made it a bit shag like and harmonized my ever present bangs with the rest of my hair. He released my hair from being weighed down in all the wrong places so my natural waves know what to do with themselves.
I am now one of those women that wakes up in the morning, and just lets my hair do its thing. No ponytails, no product, maybe a few sprays of water and mussing it up to reactivate some wave and I’m good. My hair feels sexy and fresh and happy!
Don’t even think twice. Go to Claudio! You can thank me later.

Jaclyn is an absolute master with color! She has been doing my hair (red) for over 10 years now and I get compliments almost daily asking if it's natural. She most recently did my daughters hair for the first time, and she is so in love with it. If you're looking for somebody who is simply incredible with color, she's your girl. Highly recommend!!

I'm so glad that I found Jaclyn when I moved down to LA! She is so talented at coloring hair and great at listening to what her clients want! We've done different things with my base color and with highlights over the years, and she really listens to what I want and then makes my hair look amazing. I like a very natural look for my highlights, and she knows how to make them look lived in and subtle, just the way I love them. She also has done both a lighter and darker base color, depending on what I asked for, and made them look extremely natural, which can sometimes be tricky with toning brown hair. I love seeing her even more now that she's at Hairem -- the playlist is always fun, and the decor is really inviting. You'll be really happy if you go to her for color!

It's a new year and time for a new review. I have called Claudio and Jaclyn artists in the past and I wish I could think of a word that's a "cut above" (no pun intended) calling them artists. I really want to concentrate on my color by Jaclyn Wosk in this review. Claudio's cuts are always stellar, and Jaclyn's color is perfection. I'm a redhead, and we all know how difficult reds are. Her color, her highlights, the gloss...all of it is amazing! Even when I'm boarding a plane, the person behind me asks, "Who does your color?" We all just panic over changes when it comes to our hair, but if you're looking to make a change...look no further! The salon is elegant and casual at the same time...parking is easy in the back...they are always on time...A boutique experience that is as classy as it is easy. You won't want to make another change and you'll thank me for this one! Go to Hairem!

I had a great haircut here with Claudio! I have long and fine hair and my hair looks so much healthier now. He's very precise with cutting and ensures everything is perfectly symmetrical. I didn't walk in knowing exactly what I wanted but he helped recommend what would look best and I'm glad I trusted his judgement. He was also really friendly, they made me a cappuccino when I first got here, and the salon is nicely decorated and clean. Will definitely come back here in the future.

I had a great experience at Hairem! I asked for a short bob and was so scared it wouldn't look like what I expected, but Claudio perfectly replicated the pictures I showed him, a real pro. The salon is clean and peaceful, and the price was reasonable, will definitely come back

Claudio is a true artist, and I trust him implicitly. Beautiful salon, with a creative, yet comfortable vibe. Aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and welcoming energy. Claudio, Jaclyn & Arbi are all so talented, experienced & professional. A gem of a salon.

I was delighted when Hairem opened up down the street from our house. I had been driving out to the west valley before that. Claudio is a genius with cuts and styling, and Jacqui is absolutely terrific with color. They make a wonderful pair! The salon is beautiful, with a very calm, relaxed atmosphere. I can't recommend it highly enough.
