“Always ready to help you staff. Cozy atmosphere. And not too much people inside the store. But I don't know about weekend, always visit this place on weekdays”

“That bookstore is PHENOMENAL! So open and welcoming with books from authors that look like me and more! So happy to have something I've written in there. Love it!”
“This is a fascinating store. Housed in a beautiful old building, it is packed with thousands of books, records and merchandise. There are some really rare and special books in separate rooms (one of which was formerly a safe or strong room). You can sell your books and vinyl to the store too. It's really very special and very different to any store I've visited before and is well worth a visit.”
“Love this place. If you like books with a bit of organized chaos, this is the perfect book store for you. There is so much to see and find, it is literally a literary adventure.”
“Love this shop. They always have cool signings, lots of books and vinyls and all of the products are organized. The shop is so clean and the owners are knowledgeable, I love visiting whenever I’m in town.”
“Often times they don't have specifically what I'm looking for, but that has never stopped me from walking out with an armful of other books I didn't know I wanted! If you need a copy of The Kindness of Women by J.G. Ballard they more than likely can hook you up, in spades.
Did I mention this bookstore has cats? 6 thumbs up.”
“Small hole in the wall with mighty superpowers to meet your bike repair needs. Have been getting my bikes serviced here for the last few years and am always awed by their incredible work and low prices to boot”

369 N Fairfax Ave #1, Los Angeles“I have never enter this store but I did wait for my brother in the car meanwhile he got a Siddur for me. I observed how the owner walked with my brother towards the books and probably explained to him what the book was for. It took me a while to read the Siddur. Know that I read it every morning and night, I’m very happy with it. May God continue to bless this shop. ?”
“I love this store! I could spend hours perusing everything they have for sale. So unique and creative! Plus, it's connected to the La Luz de Jesus art gallery, that's always a treat. Short drive from the Griffith Observatory!”
“This is the most unique store! Nothing but 1st edition books. I could spend hours just looking at everything and listening to Harvey and Louis tell stories ! I will be back for sure.”

“As a woman of God, they are one of my favorite places to visit and search for what we occupy because my husband is a lover of reading and almost every time we go we find what we are looking for, such as dictionaries, books for our predictions and much more. I recommend them.”

“Most entertaining book store for those who love art, design, architecture, etc and they have a variety of unique and rare books! Their stuff is very well organized especially given the wide range of printed materials they carry. I pay a regular visit even thought it’s a bit out of my way, and it’s totally worth it. Go give it a try!”
“This is a beautiful bookshop filled with holy books, cards, and devotional objects. The sisters are incredibly kind and patient--and helpful. Highly recommended.”

10580 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles“Children's Book World has the best selection of children's books anywhere. The staff is so welcoming. Getting up close and personal with authors and illustrators is a privilege. Watching Lisa Yee and Dan Santat banter about their latest book, The Misfits, was a treat. The first pages have me hooked. As soon as I have a cup of java in hand, I'll return to The Misfits. Thanks to Children's Book World for this (and many other) wonderful experience!”

218 Pier Ave, Santa Monica“One of my favorite used books and records stores. I’ve been going here for years! I could be here for hours going through the books and the records. Rocco, the owner, knows his store from front to back and has an exceptional collection of first editions. This store is tucked away off the busy streets and is a gem in the neighborhood.”

“I've been visiting this store since 1984. This may be the best automotive book store in the country. They have a great selection of new and used automotive and aircraft books, magazines, DVD's and related items.”
“This is by far my favorite bookstore in Los Angeles and our go to for any book that they can order for us. No more Amazon! We always love dropping in here and talking to the staff about what their favorite new reads are, and they also give great advice when looking for something more specific. Support them!”
“I worked near Lundeens and whenever I needed a fun gift or great smelling soaps and candles, I’d race over to Lundeens. The gift wrap, the small windup toys, the thinker things…wish I had one here on Oahu!”
“I stopped here after eating at a cafe nearby. I'm an avid reader and visit bookstores every time I get a chance. I ended up buying a new fiction novel. The cashier was friendly and even helped us look for a discounted book. If you're ever in the area, I recommend stopping by!”
“Quite literally the most amazing book store experience. The store owner was extremely kind and did his best to help me find the books I wanted. The book selection is huge and the price is reasonable considering the fact that he has to pay for books to be imported from Korea. There are a lot of books aimed towards Korean learners. There is a section for Manhwa and some Manga as well. They have bibles that are double translated with English and Korean together. Honestly, it was a huge blessing to end up there!!!!!”
“Used to buy books here all the time when I volunteered at the old Rising Lotus. Still have really interesting out of print books on TV history... We live in Burbank and don't really venture out to Sherman Oaks that much these days. I randomly looked it up and soooo glad to see they're still open and running.”
“Have been buying Taschen publications for several years. They offer beautiful books at affordable prices (I especially love their facsimiles of Medieval books) but have noticed something that bothers me: I treat my books well. I keep them shelved upright or lying flat if they're oversized, and I never force them open to make them lie flat on a table, etc. Nevertheless, over time, pages or entire signatures on some of their publications have come loose. Why make such lovely books, and then glue the signatures in, or if they sew them, sew them in with what is apparently inferior thread? I did contact Taschen about this problem once but got no reply.”
“What a sweet book store! I happened to walk by and couldn’t resist getting a couple of books for my kids. The ladies working the store at the time were very sweet, friendly, and helpful. Parking is always tricky along Ventura, but this little place is definitely worth the effort.”
