“First time visiting the store and got some great deals! Very nice and friendly staff. They also had a great clearance area where I managed to find some Schmincke soft pastels for $1 a stick, just WOW! Nice Velour papers and plenty of pastel pencils to choose from. “This is the place I go to get paint when quality matters. True writer's supplies from tips to stupid variety of spray can brands. Most chill biz owner I have ever met. You won't find this at Home Depot or Anawalt hardware and prices are good for top quality - support your local small shops!”
“My most favorite art supply store in Hollywood, CA. Great selections and many suppliers from all over the world. Their service is also so great and they let me try some pens and markers. I bought their arches paper 30” x 22” and made art of my drawing and with posca and golden high flow that I tried at the store before I bought. The art turned out really good and liked working on the paper and pens. Thank you Blue Rooster!”

“I was desperately trying to find somebody to re-cane a beautiful mid century chair that my cats had torn to shreds. I searched high and low, and couldn't find anyone to fix it, until a vintage shop in Atwater recommended this place. I am so excited and happy that they did. I brought my chair in and they gave me a very reasonable estimate. The owner and the people that work there are very friendly, but more importantly, they do amazing work. My chair looks absolutely stunning! It looks exactly like it looked before my cats got to it. This place is amazing!”

“Even with the new law forbidding retail of flavoured vapes, this is one of THE finest smoke shops. Unfortunately, they had to get rid of all of their flavored material (& I will never forget this place for having every Flum flavour imaginable... the good old days, at this point). However! They have a thousand other products even outside of smoking culture & habits, like supplement blends, CBD gummies at different concentrations, a middle compartment (a glass case) of pocket knives (some are like, really cute), body jewelry including nose hoops/studs & hoop earrings, sodas, INCENSE in great quantity, and more! I even saw, behind the counter next to the cigarettes, some product called "stop opioid abuse." It might be some type of product to help wean patients off the use of opiates, which is huge. The employees here are always so amicable & chill. I've never waited in a line longer than one person, & the employees are so welcoming that you just naturally get into conversation with them. Still one of my favourite smoke places ever! So neat, clean, & organized! Thank you!”

“Parking: 6/10. Limited street parking around the block. We were lucky to find a spot right in front of their store! Items: 10/10. As a stationary lover, we spontaneously decided to go here after eating around the area. I loved seeing an assortment of fine art textured paper sourced from various parts of the world. Wonderful selections for scrapbooking, journaling, paper invitations, and anything else you can think of. Gary was a chill guy who told me interesting details about the papers I selected. Affordable pricing for quality paper. Atmosphere: small shop yet packed with all sorts of paper varieties. Hours are limited which can be inconvenient for some folks.”

It's one place out of two handfuls of Art Department and Special Effects suppliers IWS purchases from and although IWS doesn't get to visit in person for picking up Make-Up and Special Effects Supplies often IWS thinks they are the best in the business because it's been a family business for well over 30 years in motion pictures and television. Among the various supplies IWS stocks up on is mask latex, Silicone, Epoxy Resin, Gelatin, Clay, Bandages, Ultracal or Gypsum Stone, Lab Tools, brushes, straps, and more equipment and supplies.”

“Fantastic art store.They have materials for all sorts of arts and crafts. Pens, markers, paints, brushes, plates, papers, canvasses, metal thread (for jewelry making), beads, alcohol inks, press printing, etc... also easels.They have a small book section for ideas and inspiration.They have crafts for kids, as well as real artist level materials.They have adorable gifts, stickers, games, and fidget toys. So it's also a good shop when looking for presents for some people.You can sign up there for a free store account for a discount, but you need to give them a phone number and email.”
“The staff is super friendly and helpful. I had no issues finding the large newsprint paper or drawing pads. Everything I needed was in stock. They also offer student discounts so you really get your money's worth. The parking on the side is a bit tight but there's more parking behind the building.”

“One of the best Paper Source locations. Very spacious, large selection of stationery, and helpful staff. I enjoyed their paper bar where I got to see and touch different envelopes and cards.
This store is an excellent location to find a unique gift for everyone in your family. Also, I loved the store layout and the way they created little theme “islands” of mindfulness, Halloween, and Fall. Where you can choose a trinket, home decor, or a journal based on of the themes.”
