Strawberry General Store is a hidden gem on Hwy 108 in the Sierra Nevada mountains, near Pinecrest Lake. This friendly store carries basic groceries, local sourdough, pork, honey, jams, and coffee. It is known for its amazing homemade fudge, available in many flavors. The store offers a great coffee, tea, and hot chocolate bar with free WiFi. It also sells fishing licenses, camping supplies, and seasonal clothing. The staff provides super friendly, polite service with wholesome small town vibes. The store is very helpful for hikers and the community, creating a fabulous place with a bit of everything and very good memories.
Simple place to stop and merch or have good coffee...there's also a dog wondering about welcoming people..

This place has it all: snacks, rental gear for skiing or snowboarding, climbing gear, clothing based the season, and even snow chain installation during the winter. The staff are always super friendly and the place is well maintained and clean. The owners are really what makes this place special.

My wife and I have been here thrice, as of 21 December 2024.
By the third visit, they recognized us, and seemed to think of us as regulars.
What has had us coming back after the first visit was primarily a line of fudge that they make, unique to this one store. Very good fudge.
