I needed a rental vehicle bad, I'd called around to rental car agencies before I'd even thought about "zipcar" however since the pandemic everything's closing early unfortunately my last option was zip car. Upon me looking online for zip cars near me University of the Pacific comes up. And shows there's cars available, sooo I go ahead and take my time signing up, paying an application fee of $25.00 this is how deeply I needed a vehicle at this moment, upon me finishing my application and being approved, I go back to the site to reserve a vehicle and viola there's no cars available!!! Omggg had I know this would not had signed up nor would I had paid a 25.00 application fee. I then call in to customer service and let them know my concern and asked for a refund it's only been 10 mins since I'd paid the application fee and completed the online steps, the customer service representative says "we can't refund you because those fees goes to the authorities to help for approving you, you can get zip cars all around the world " I replied "I just needed one for today and the information I was shawn on availabilty for cars in my area was not accurate", explaining myself over again. There was no concern from customer service and just lack of help in the issue I was facing with this signing up. I know there's a pandemic and many companies are barely getting services in which customer and their customer service plays a big part in that as well it seems that they are trying to hold on to each and every dollar they can even if its unethical which is sad, these are the time they should appreciate their customers most! My daughter was not happy with there service. She paid for a car and it was not at the location it was suppose to be at... customer service was no help said they would give us our money back promptly but we did not get it back properly just not happy with the service at all
