Stockton Wheel did a good job on my wheels and very happy with the outcome. Be patient it does take time. Glad I spent the extra money so send them. Photo is one original and one redone.

They weren't sure they could help me but they told me about a guy in Modesto who can. So I'm grateful to them for giving me some time and I'll definitely be giving them business when my needs are something they can meet. Thanks guys!

Sad that a place that has been around for over a 100 years and many owners does not stand behind their work. I had a set of custom wheels made. The wheels started to crack after about 5 years of use. We ran down the cracks and welded them and lived with it. The cracks were micro and you could not see them except when you put the wheel and tire in a water bath. Last year one of the wheels failed in a nearly spectacular fashion. Massive structural cracking all coming off of the welds. An analysis my a certified master welded concluded that the failure was due to to primary things. The first was that when the used a lathe to cut the centers out of whatever they used, they failed to grind and dress the rough edges. The second is that they used improper welding techniques as to directional of the welds with respect to the metal grain and where they started and stopped the welds. I have tried to contact them by email and in writing and never received a reply. I did NOT ask for a refund nor did I ask for anything other than having them work with me to build a new set of wheels that would address the issues we have found. They could not be bothered. I have had Stockton Wheel building custom steel wheels for me since 1975 and other in my family back into the 1950's. The current custodians of this once great business are not doing it or its customers any justice. I would not use them both as a business matter and as a safety matter.

I hit a pothole pretty hard coming off the on ramp on the 5 and bent my wheel pretty bad. It felt like one of my wheels turned into an egg shape. The car wobbled its way to Stockton Wheel Service, luckily. They fixed my wheel so good that at first glance I thought it was a brand new wheel that they replaced. My car rides smooth without any alignment issues. Pricing was acceptable for the work that needed to be done. Great experience with this business.
