I've never been thrown out of a department store before, especially for asking for a size they don't have. A sales associate threw me out of McCaulou's this afternoon because they didn't have wide shoes for me. They had many brands that come in wide—Clark, SAS, Naturalizer. When I asked to see wide shoes, the woman in the shoe department, whose name I didn't get, acted like I'd committed a crime. She went on and on about how they can't carry "everything." I asked for a Brannock device to measure my foot. She brought one out and threw it on the floor! I said, "Can you help me read it?" as I tried to put my foot into it. She said she didn't know how and kept on about how it was a small department and they couldn't carry everything and she never knew what people were going to ask for...Frankly, I wasn't listening to her because I was trying to figure out how to read my shoe width off this thing. I said, "Will you stop talking?"She exploded. "Get out of my store!" I wonder if she was a member of the family who owns the store. I rolled my eyes and continued trying to read the Brannock device, which I soon gave up as hopeless. There were thousands of other things in that store I could have bought besides wide shoes, but I won't now. If you like being treated with respect as a customer, don't go in here. What a contrasting experience I had at Fleet Feet! Brian was great and apologized when they didn't have a style I asked about.

Beautiful department store with a large variety of clothes for everyone in your family. Great place to buy gifts. They have free gift wrapping. The personnel are friendly and helpful. Good prices. The location is great as it is in the (north) Lincoln Center so there is a large assortment of other stores and wonderful restaurants all within a nice walking area at the center.

Yesterday afternoon the cashier in shoe department looked my 17 year old up and down with a dirty look and mumbled "are you serious under her breath." I thought I imagined it, until my daughter asked me if she looked like a thief or something. I said no why, she said the cashier in the shoe department looked at her weird. Needless to say, I took her shopping elsewhere. Apparently her style didn't fit her liking.

Today was my first day going into this store. It is perfect now I found the store for me and my kids. I will be coming more often. I love it. They have name brands vans, converse, uggs, stride rite, and carters for kids. You must come see. Love their discounts.

This store is pretty cute. We came towards closing to look for a little girl's birthday gift. Immediately upon walking in, we were greeted by the gals at the shoe dept. They were so so friendly and kind. The gal working in the children's clothing area (back of the store) was incredibly pushy - I get that she was towards the end of her shift, but she was hovering over my mom and I as we looked at items. I felt extremely uncomfortable and rushed by her presence as she watched us. Also, she mentioned a couple times that we'd have to check out at the shoe department (at the front of the store) b/c her register was closed and that they'd be closing soon. Okay, then WHY are you still here watching us if you're not going to ring us up? She really thought we were going to steal something that's why she kept following us around the area. The gals at the shoe dept. were so so friendly, and didn't even mention to us to hurry up. They were even like come again tomorrow, we open at X time. I would return to check out their shoes!

The only place I ever want to shop! GREAT prices, GREAT selection of items that you WON'T find elsewhere. Very curated selection, not just the trendy, big box store things. Would give 10 stars if I could! SHOP AT MCCAULOU'S!

This store is huge! Pretty good selection. They have clothes for the entire family. Good size shoe selection for everyone also kids toys and knickknacks. Children’s books and stuffed animals for the little ones. Gift wrapping Is available, I’m not sure if there’s a fee or not but I don’t believe so. This store is a one of a kind, come check it out. Great location inside Lincoln Center.

If I could put zero stars I would. I've been coming to this store for years and today the workers accused my friend of COLOR of stealing and asked us multiple times if we were going to buy something or just "play", mind you we were browsing and intended to buy something. After being followed by each employee throughout the store and stared at like we were a bunch of circus animals I will never be coming here again! Unbelievable customer service and the workers are clearly homophobic. Please do not support!

Went in to do a little shopping/browsing. I spent several minutes looking for the plus size area of the store, only to be told that they don't carry plus size clothing. I guess only skinny people shop there. The blonde sales associate (who was not wearing a mask) went into a meaningless/lengthy explanation as to why they don't carry those sizes. I could care less. It's their loss as I had money to spend. I quickly wished the blonde a Merry Christmas and went on my way. She shouted at me as I was walking out, "Don't give up on us!" Too late. I won't be returning.
