We originally purchased a sewing machine but returned it for another one on 11/17/23 , and were told we would get a corporate check for the refund. Mind you, on the back of the receipt it states (basically) you pay cash, you get cash back, the same goes for credit cards etc. We paid cash. According to the customer service we are expecting our 3rd refund check any day soon. The address was incorrect from what we supplied to them, fed ex has had this package for 9 days now. We'll not bad for waiting 126 +/- days until expected refund will be (maybe) in my hands. And don't expect to talk to a live person, email only and maybe return email in a couple of days. Service sucks.

I love this Joanns, they have a great selection and the sales associates are very helpful. BUT why oh why is the bathroom always so gross? I always go right when they open in the morning so I feel like it should be clean, right? No soap, toilet is gross, floor is gross, graffiti, full trash, etc. I'm attaching a pic of the vent on the ceiling because it's so bad it's almost comical.

Placed an order for curbside pickup & was instead met with an employee coming out, after a nearly 5 minute wait, to ask me what I ordered because they couldn't find my order. I inevitably had to go in to confirm the items I had purchased were there as I had ordered a small variety of yarn & some garlands, which notoriously for me tend to be out of stock. I am well aware of how orders are handled behind the counter, as I am a frequent flyer of placing online orders at Joann, so to find that they simply had not labeled my order & made me come in to find it myself was absolutely tedious & poor service.

Another review that's well over due. My in store experience from September of 2022.If any of you are like me, then you're heavily influenced by ads and social media. Cue the advertisement for one of the Cricut Maker Bundle Lilac that was on sale. And by on sale, it was going for a really good price! I quickly checked if the nearest Joann's had it in stock and it reflected 1 left.I rushed to the store and went to check the shelves first. It wasn't there! Fear not, you should always ask an associate just in case and the first store associate that looked friendly enough to approach was this really sweet lady named Rita. I showed her the advertisement and told her I had already checked the floor and didn't see it. She smiled and told me she would check in the back to see if it was there.I waited for 5 minutes the first time she came out telling me she couldn't find it but that she would look again to doublecheck. I graciously told her I appreciated the time and effort she was putting in to help me. Another 5 minutes later she emerged with the Cricut Maker Bundle in hand and a big smile on her face. She exclaimed how great of a deal I was getting and let me tell you, when people join in on the joy of a great deal, it makes it that much better. So thank you Rita for going above and beyond for helping me.I also purchased a Singer Heavy Duty 6380 and Rita happily pulled it out of the case for me. She also went ahead and grabbed a cart for me to put all the items I got and wheeled it to the front of the store for checkout. I again graciously thanked her for being so kind and taking care of everything I needed for my store visit. She was genuinely the nicest person I've ever met at Joann's.The great service that day carried over throughout my checkout. A young man by the name of Ali (yes this time I did my due diligence and made sure to remember every associates name) helped ring up the items I picked up. He was friendly and kind and exclaimed that this was the second largest purchase he had ever rang up while working there. I love genuine small talk and appreciated his candor.All in all - the crafting Gods were on my side that day! I hope Rita and Ali are still working at this location and if you do stop in for anything you need, if you see either of them, you can make a beeline for them and be rest assured you'll be taken care of!

horrible.The tumblr-inspired feminist behind the counter was so stand-offish and rude I was fumbling over my own words because I have rarely used them in a customer service exchange such as this. Like, basic stuff... First words from her as I approached the counter : do you have a phone number with us?Not "hello..." or perhaps "hi there did ya find everything you were looking for?" Like zero attempt to establish any kind of decency in this. Mechanical transaction.Had to beg for a bag and of course a receipt.Returned everything within an hour for a full refund.Until they've been completely overhauled and Secret Shopped by corporate and whipped into at least basic human civility... I will never spend a dime here.I feel bad for the franchise owner who's probably wondering why their location underperforms comparatively.

They have great sales despite some in the economy charging horrendous prices during this time. They usually always have what I need for my project and carry a large selection of fabrics & notions.
