We had the difficult choice of putting our pet Bailey down. The staff there made it as easy as possible with their understanding and kindness during a very difficult time. Thank you to the wonderful team!❤️

I've been bringing my baby here for the past 4 years. The staff is always very happy to see her and they treat her well. All vets can be a little pricey, however they have always been up front about costs and when things are a little steep for my budget they have always let me know what I could let slide or have given me more sustainable options. I've never felt like they were trying to take advantage of me and my dog never shows any signs of discomfort about coming for a visit.

I took my dog in a few times for his eyes and ears infection. They tested him, everything looks good. I am happy and my dog is doing fine. My little guy is 7yrs old. He start throwing up and didn't eat all day. The next day he was the same way. No food just water. I had to take him to emergency in Modesto. (It was on the weekends) They tested him with a severe diabetes, high blood pressure and problems with his liver. They try to help him but my boy gave up a few days later. If I knew this sooner, he would still be with us. I thought all this time my baby was fine. ?

I try not to say bad things about veterinarians, but this place is money hungry. Brought my kitten in for halitosis and a bad URI (I have many years experience as a pet parent and foster parent) fully expecting a couple hundred dollars for the visit and medication. They tried to charge upwards of $1000 for a URI! They wanted to order multiple tests to see what kind of URI it was, 3 weeks worth of medication, which I would have to come back for on a weekly basis to adjust to her weight (which probably would have cost more at the time), and they had me sign an AMA when I refused!! Doctor seemed visibly annoyed when I turned tests down and made sure to tell me all the down sides of not proceeding with the testing and that she may be sick her entire life. Not to mention, the vet assistant put the entire thermometer in her rectum! The WHOLE thing.Meanwhile, I brought her (to a different place) to get spayed a couple months later and while examining her, the vet said she has stomatitis, which explains the halitosis. No mention of that at "Family" Pet Hospital even when I stressed how bad her breath was.Needless to say, I didn't return. My cat did great with 9 days of antibiotics (I was short by one day cause I was supposed to go back).

I have gone to family pet hospital several times. They are open late hours and charge the same fee whether you're there at 10 o'clock in the afternoon or 10 PM in the evening. I like that they don't have any emergency room visit fees just because they're open late. The doctors are all knowledgeable and very nice.

All vets are pricey. New puppy visit for a fostered Chiweenie cost more than expected.? But the office visit alone was cheaper than $70-75.00. So, I chose them. But my visit was over 190+. by the time I got new puppy shots, etc..?

Came in for shots and nail trim. Dr said she could not complete shots without a check up, i said skip check up. Dr said check up was had to be done before check up. I appoved check up and noticed small diarea on his fluffy rear end, dog is a Corgi. Dr had treatment plan for over 600 dollars. i said no, Dr would not do shots without treatment, including pain meds. also would not trim nails unless anesthesia was given. i left and had his shots nd nails done at another vet neaby as a walkin.

I was given a same-day appointment I was treated well. My pet Rottweiler was taken care of by Sabrina and Dr. Wu. I was very happy and then what made me happier was a follow. Call to make sure that she was doing better overall I am happy that this product has Dr. Wu.

Since the daughter has taken over & Mom retired the hours of operation shorter & prices much higher very long wait time even with appointments always over test to up sell you to spend more .each visit she aims towards $1,000 .poor service if your not willing to spend lots of money I attribute the good reviews to people willing to spend what ever she ask . They also lost our last deceased dog paw printHave been using this vet 20+ years but since we have caught onto her scheme of getting money service is very badWe will be looking elsewhere for our pets needs

Our family has been going here for as long as I can remember. All of the staff has been more than helpful, compassionate, and reasonable with anything we have needed for our babies.Keep up the amazing work!!

Sucks since the daughter took over. If you dare question anything she says (she had misdiagnosed our dog with heart problems which we questioned . And told us our dog would be dead in a year with out heart treatment and had him on wrong meds ) or don't spend the total amount she wants you to spend she will flag you, she is a snowflake and will not see your pet anymore... figures a millinial does not like to be questionedHer parents were great people.... Unfortunately things change....Btw our dog did not have heart problems and is alive 4 years later....

Place is clueless how our dogs paw print got mixed up and we received a print from a much bigger dog. We're out this keepsake and were not able to get a paw print, just a simple oops here's your refund. Service here is also horribly slow and expensive. Look elsewhere if you care about your pets.

Be careful with this place! I went there as an emergency walk in when my dog started to having diarrhea and vomiting and only because our usual vet was completely booked for that day. I agreed to give him IV fluids and a blood test, left him there for couple hours and when I came back I was in shock. My dog was very lethargic, breathing loudly, had swollen gums and lips, didn't eat or drink, didn't go potty all evening and overall looking WORSE than I brought him in. Their "admin/sales nurse" sold us some medications that must be used by veterinarians ONLY (I didn't know that, and found out about it when i got home. I didn't use them at all of course). She also tried to give him a Rabies shot even though I told them twice that he's up to date with his vaccinations. I provided them with his test records from our usual clinic. On top of that they wanted to put some kind of heart screening, because the doctor "heard some murmur". I refused, I was there to do blood work to make sure nothing serious is going on and help my dog with diarrhea and vomiting. Next morning I rushed my dog to our vet, she agreed that my dog was given something else except IV fluids and having a reaction with it. So she stepped up and called Family Pet Hospital to find out what exactly they gave my dog. And..they refused to tell her! They stated that doctor has to "finalise" (whatever that means) documents before they can give us any info. While I was waiting at my vet with my dog, my husband went to that clinic to get the name of the medications. He found out that they gave him a pain medication which was some kind of opioid and my dog was having a bad allergic reaction to that. I didn't agree to that! I didn't give my permission on ANY medications, only the blood test and IV fluids. Fortunately, our vet put my dog on the right treatment and he was feeling better in no time. So not only do they try to sell you their full line of products, knowing that any pet parent will do and spend anything to help their pets, they also give animals medications that were not authorised by the dog owner. So please, stay away from Family Pet Hospital and don't take your fur kids there.

ZERO STARS. I will never come back here. First of all, we walked in and no one looked at us and it was empty... second they tried to scam us into 500$ worth of treatments our dog didn't need. The vet was so rude and was not gentle with our pup. The place was a mess and the service was horrendous, do not come here!!
