Worst day of my life bringing my dog here and biggest regret. I feel like if they were more quick to give my dog fluids and treatment right away he woudnt have died.

Do not take your pets here!!! At first it seemed like a great place! The vet was very thorough but a little unrealistic with the things she’d suggest or tests she’d speak about. Well my dying 15 year old dog was brought to her and after she suggested me spend over $1,000 on tests to determine “what was wrong” which she already had an idea what was wrong. After seeing the amount of X-rays/angles she took , were unnecessary to clearly see that all her organs were enlarged! Also after speaking with the vet I had to take my dog to be put down 2 days later was in disbelief that they made me give her a rabies shot. He said you are not supposed to give a sick animal a vaccine!! They told me she would not treat my dog without the rabies shot and she also made me test her for heart worms which I argued but she told me it is part of required blood panel they told me I needed to do. She also stated in the exam before tests were done, that my dog wasn’t getting a lot of oxygen based on the color of her tongue but yet added in my estimate to test her oxygen levels!!? Many things were added in the quote that were not needed and I declined. After all the tests this vet proceeded to listed off several things wrong and what could happen like her organs exploding or having a heart attack. I let her finish and I asked her it sounds like I should be saying good bye and i asked her should I put her down. She told me and I quote “oh no no it’s not time yet” then proceeded to charge me almost $400 more in medication, food, oxygen and supplements. To go home and watch my poor girl suffer for two days, took only one pill, the oxygen tank was half gone when I hooked it up. My poor girl stopped eating that night and started throwing up. This was my 3rd visit to this vet as mine moved away and they had always text me next day to check on my pets. This time, they did not! To me now I know why!! She knew my dog was not okay and should of been out down! Come Saturday 2 days later I had to take her to another vet and spend $500 to have her put down. Another alarming sign I ignored was nobody is ever there. Parking lot and office is always empty. I contacted them to tell them what happened and I wanted a refund for the second charge, I also offered to return all the unused meds/supplements and they told me no! I have filed a dispute with my credit card for the second charge of unnecessary meds etc. and it has been denied.! I will be adding reviews on everything to warn all the pet parents to be aware of this vet that is clearly out for the money and not well being of our pets! DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!

A stray cat adopted my dad and a few weeks later she gave birth to 9 kittens in his living room. Within the same day all passed but 3. My dad instantly got attached to all 3. He took Little Bit, his favorite, to a vet on East Fremont St because of respiratory issues. They charged him for medicine that didn’t even help, nor did they take the necessary tests needed and charged him over $250 and then the kitten kept getting worse. After a week he noticed Thor was barely breathing and wasn’t eating. So, I told him to go see Family Pet Hospital because a coworker suggested them.
Sabrina was great, she explained everything to my dad and helped him understand what could be going on. She took the necessary tests to make sure she knew how to treat him. We didn’t think he would survive. But a week later he doesn’t even look like he was sick and has gained 2lbs. Even though the kittens are not curable, they are treatable, and my dad will make sure Sabrina will be the one to take care of them from now on. She is a great vet tech and made my dad happy with the care his babies are getting. I will make sure I take my dog to this Hospital along with my dad’s kittens for repeated treatment. Thank you, Sabrina, ?

Dr. Wu and Sabrina both did amazing work on helping my cat. They were both kind, patient, and understanding with my cat who was missing for 2 and half months. My cat is happy and healthy thanks to them. I would recommend this vet hospital to friends and family.

Dr. Wu and Sabrina are wonderful to go to. They are super nice and attentive. They treat my dog with the utmost care and consideration. They walk me through everything they do. They explain what is wrong with my dog and why while also explaining what they’re doing to identify or treat it in great detail so I know exactly what they’re doing. My dog is so much better since going in and I will continue to take her there and refer anyone I know to them as well.

FPH are genuinely the loveliest staff of doctors and vet techs I’ve ever known. They are kind, compassionate, and treat your pets like they are their own. 2 generations of our pets (3 pets in total) have been cared for by 2 generations of doctors and staff here. The family affair continues and you are lucky to be a part of it.

I would recommend FPH. My 14 year old dog passed away on April 17, 2024. The staff made this experience so wonderful. They accommodated and comforted us after hours and waited patiently for us to say our final goodbyes. Very compassionate and empathetic souls they all were. Till this day, I don’t know what we would have done without them through the loss of our beloved pet at short notice. ?

If you love your dog/pet don’t bring it here! I now understand when people say a vet place ONLY cares about money. They charge BEFORE seeing your dog, covered up as a “deposit” for appt hold whilst you’re already there. In addition, they will attempt to charge you for “required” add-ons. I encourage you to decline what you don’t need. Ask. Ask. Ask. Better yet save your time and money and go elsewhere.
“Required” cost was $1200
ACTUAL cost of the route I wanted to go $350
I left regardless because they wouldn’t check my dog if I didn’t give him his “required” heart worm shot (he’s 14). I wanted to simply soothe his pain.
I called my old vet from AZ and they were able to fax his meds to a local pharmacy at NO COST.
This place was better in 2011 before new vets

We had the difficult choice of putting our pet Bailey down. The staff there made it as easy as possible with their understanding and kindness during a very difficult time. Thank you to the wonderful team!❤️

I've been bringing my baby here for the past 4 years. The staff is always very happy to see her and they treat her well. All vets can be a little pricey, however they have always been up front about costs and when things are a little steep for my budget they have always let me know what I could let slide or have given me more sustainable options. I've never felt like they were trying to take advantage of me and my dog never shows any signs of discomfort about coming for a visit.

I took my dog in a few times for his eyes and ears infection. They tested him, everything looks good. I am happy and my dog is doing fine. My little guy is 7yrs old. He start throwing up and didn't eat all day. The next day he was the same way. No food just water. I had to take him to emergency in Modesto. (It was on the weekends) They tested him with a severe diabetes, high blood pressure and problems with his liver. They try to help him but my boy gave up a few days later. If I knew this sooner, he would still be with us. I thought all this time my baby was fine. ?
