Is this place even in business I called and it got a busy like internet fax signal they need to fix their phone if they're still in business I don't have the patience to play games this salon I was going to possibly spend $200 they lost to customer they need to get their phone fixed if they're still open

I cannot say enough positive things about Lux. I've been coming to Lux to get my hair done for years! Specifically with Marjorie! I honestly can say that I never leave the salon unsatisfied. The atmosphere, the environment, it's always a good time! Not to mention the outcome of my hair! Marjorie never fails to take care of me! She's been my stylist for years and I can truly say I trust no one else with my hair! What I ask for, she delivers. And let me tell you, I don't always make simple request. But I love that she will thoroughly explain the process and the best route to take (which sometimes requires more than one visit) to get to the end result I would like without compromising the condition of my hair. I've recently went from jet black hair, to copper red, back to brown and as of last week blonde! Talk about transitions. But I couldn't be happier, I trust Marjorie and the end result of my most recent visit proves why I do! The girl is talented, from the coloring to the haircuts...my visits to Lux are nothing short of amazing! The girls bubbly personalities at Lux just makes the experience that much better! Y'all are amazing, keep up the good work ladies!

Really wanted to give this salon a try but making an appointment was impossible. I just wanted a hair cut and maybe more down the line. Took a while(weeks) to get a response back even though I've followed their appointment booking rules. Finally a month later I got an appointment and when the date was getting closer(3 weeks later) the stylist texted me just to be told last minute she double booked me. But yet after replying to her to get rescheduled I got no response back at all until this day.... Still waiting.

I've been trying to reach this salon and followed their process online for booking an appt by sending a text with all my information. A few days later I get a text back saying someone will follow up with me but no one ever did. I've seen the stylists post their availability online and how they have openings but still don't understand why none of them ever got back to me if they have so many openings. It seems like they're not organized in terms of booking appointments or having a system that does so for you so just be aware if you're trying to get in for a quick appointment, it may take longer for them to get back to you.

I love this salon so much! It's clean, edgy and fun! The stylists here bring the entire place to life not to mention their talent and expertise!I have watched Stevie Diaz for a long time and got to know her over the years. Her work speaks for itself. She is meticulous, professional, listens to her clients needs and wants, gives her best advice and professional opinions based on those needs and wants, she is honest and above all talented! She wants each clients experience to be personal down to being aware of their emotional needs as well. For example, she recently posted that if her clients need quiet time during their appointment she would not take offense because she knows that some people just want to get their hair done without all the extra talking. She understands that a hair appointment is not just about the hair but the entire client experience.I just enjoy Stevie and appreciate her awesome skills and willingness to go the extra mile for each client so they walk out of their appointment feeling confident, relaxed and gorgeous! So i got my hair done by jannefer on october 6 on a Wednesday i messaged her by Monday because i straighten my hair and saw some things i did not like. She did not message me for 3 days and she was posting on her social media so i am sure she saw my message. I explained to her that what i asked for was not what i got. She kept saying well when you were he you seem satisfied but we all know we feel bad to say thats not what we want when we are there but once i saw what she did i had to say something. I paid 280 dollars and she only toned my hair and did a deep conditioner. I asked to see if she can just blend the top and she just said i can tone your hair darker. I was already to dark i didnt want my hair as dark as she did it. She did not care to satisfy the customer my appointment was at 9am and when i was on my way she said she would be 45 min late. I was so understanding but they cant ever treat us the same way. Dont go here!

Made an appointment 1.5 months ago. Took time off work for this appointment.. only to have the stylist tell me she never wrote my appointment down. Wasn't really accommodating even though it was her mistake

Booked an appointment with Marjorie. Wanted to try lash extensions for the first time for my birthday & upcoming vacation. I was notified that my appointment would take place at her home & not at the salon. I was a little hesitant, but I went through with it since I know her from high school. 30 min before my appointment she asked if I could come an hour later than my appointment time since she was still doing another client's hair. I told her that I was unable to change my schedule and needed to cancel the appointment. She sent back my deposit no problem. She then told me I needed to cancel my appointment on her StyleSeat app. I let her know that doing that would cause me to be charged since it was the day of my appointment and I asked if she could refund the charge. She told me that she could not & I needed to take it up with the app. The app states that the professional controls refunds, charges etc. She didn't try to help me figure out a solution and began to send rude responses before blocking me. Super unprofessional! I was charged partial payment which was completely unfair. I was prepared to attend my appointment during the time we scheduled and had to cancel due to HER time management. All of this on my birthday. Wish I had a better experience.

I am completely satisfied with my hair. Since March 2020, I wasn't able to get my hair done until December 2020. Stevie made my hair new again. I saw her again in Feb for a touch up, and still lovee my hair. I will definitely see her again and probably will let her do whatever as long as it's low maintenance. There are other ladies there, I was just referred to Stevie by a client of mine. Before Covid, all of the ladies there get constant continuing education for hair. I highly recommend this place.

I think if stylist is going to charge anything close to 400.00 it should be discussed with a client... i understand get what you pay for.. but 400.00$ seems ridiculous.. not a color correction.. or anything of that sort, i like my hair but wouldve never gone here if i knew i would be charged anything close to 400. I usually pay around 260 including deposit with a couple stylist i go to, but was looking to get in apt sooner so tried this place out. Wont be back

I just found Iris through Instagram and cant say enough good things about her and the salon! First of all my hair was a wreck and I was in serious need of a great colorist and since I’d had bad experiences in the past I was looking for the best, and I found her! The salon was really comfortable, great stories and laughter shared, and just generally great vibes and experience. Iris went to work on my hair for over seven hours carefully lifting my old color out to bring me to a beautiful ashy blonde color melt, while keeping the integrity of my hair in tact.. I was there an entire day but it didnt feel like it with all the laughs. My outcome was mindblowing and I’m so happy to finally have my hair in the hands of a true master artist

This past December I booked with Vanessa for silver/ platinum processing. I was indecisive at the beginning but she was so patient and kind! My process took about 14 hours of Vanessa's meticulous attention to detail. I've been getting my hair colored and cut for so many years, where I left botched and insecure. This was hands down the best salon experience I've had and is worth the drive from my house in Newark! She is extremely kind and bubbly, and I'm forever grateful for the care she took in separating my botched layers of balayages to get me to an even blonde (With my textured hair too)! Ill be back in March girl! Love you Vanessa!! Attached is before, after, and over 2 months post process.
