The cashier was very rude and stupid....we ask if he can help us by telling what the name of the product on the glass container....his answer was there the menu up there....when it just a name no photo how it look like. If you're in customer service, it is part of your job to explain does. Don't short-cut it.We order hot chocolate, matcha, chocolate banana bread, and chocolate croissants...The food was delicious, but I wish they had heard up the bread.

It’s about food, right? The quality of the product here has really declined since my last visit——chopped salad that had zero flavor, fries that were soggy. And, as a final insult, the owners have one bathroom for an entire restaurant and an outdoor patio. One bathroom! And have assigned the job of policing the restaurant entrance and bathroom line to one unfortunate staff person. Why expand the seating capacity and dissuade customers with badly prepared food and limited resources? It’s like insurance against repeat customers. Folks deserve better!

We try to eat here at least a couple time per year. Always provides excellent food & service. Some inside seating and a large patio with views of Mt.

Chilled seafood sampler very fresh and tasty. My husband got the seafood stew and I got chowder. Never had a clam chowder with so many and big clams. Glass of Chardonnay and Bloody Mary were just as tasty. Great atmosphere and good service. Would def recommend and will return!

in short: overpriced breakfast (30+ per person) near a good location. no wonder it has $$$ sign on google, manage your expectations if you come here. Personally I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Incredible atmosphere and the eggs Benedict were superb with a cortado. Seems like the main complaints are about the service. Might just be cultural differences. We did hear an argument about a party sitting down at a table and waiting too long for the rest of their party to arrive. If you’re easy going and just sit down to have a meal, I think this place is wonderful. Fast service, great food, and the ambience is just incredible on a sunny day. Highly recommend

We visited during remodeling of some sort. Only outdoor seating at this time and limited menu. Call for actual hours. Website Posted close time was different .most would give less stars We saw one lady running around serving all tables & one busser. our food took extremely long because of an ingredient availability issue? Great atmosphere & history here. Just be patient during this time . Play it safe and order the pizza- that's what most of the locals seemed to be doing

They are your basic seaside café but the food was good and the staff was friendly, especially for being as packed as they were!

Came here as a road trip stop. Food was not the greatest: the fries were cold and the fish was mid at best. Only redeeming food item was the chicken sandwich. And they closed their seating area...

Very poor service. Seemed oddly aggressive. Small dining area. You have to order pizza for take out only for some reason. If you want pizza by the slice it is served at outdoor temperature as they do not heat up slices. Found that a bit odd.

We got some pastries from the Parkside Cafe Bakery shop (there’s also a restaurant and snack bar). I typically don’t go to places that have under 4 stars on Google, but a friend from the area recommended the place. The pastries and sourdough pizza slice were fantastic- and hit the spot after our hike down Steep Ravine/Dipsea trail.I would caution that anyone with food allergies ask about what’s in the pastries and pizza, as things are not labeled in the case. (My pizza had pine nuts that I wasn’t aware of until I started eating it. I’m not allergic, but there were not ingredients posted for this.)I’m guessing some of the poor reviews about this are less about the bakery/bake shop- so give it a chance if you’re nearby!

met with friends for dinner, the food was good and we all enjoyed being seated by the fireplace.
