I bought a Volvo for my daughter to go to school and it had some issues. Chris the owner was very helpful with diagnosing my daughter's car. He was able to get us the correct parts to fix her car. He also found other issues with the car that really needed some attention. Chris was very responsive with any questions I had when he was fixing the car. I would definitely recommend him for all my friends and family with Volvos. Great service and reasonable prices. He made a customer for life.

Nothing but Great things to say about the service I have received. Super knowledgeable repair technician. My Volvo is in good hands. Independent repair shops are the way to go!

They are like a diamond in ruff. Two Volvo dealerships and my personal mechanic couldn’t figure what was wrong with my 2006 XC90. After two days with Scandia Motors the heavy revving and stalling were fixed and I was able to pass smog.Dealerships don’t have time to diagnose what is wrong. They just want everything replaced so the problem will be fixed at an unnecessary expense. But these guys saved me money because they fixed the root cause. I highly recommend them for problem Volvos

The BEST & MOST TRUSTWORTHY place you can bring your vehicle in my opinion. I was having serious issues with my 08 Volvo S80 when I was there over Thankgiving visiting a friend and I called so many shops and was turned away because they were booked. The shop that did have time to see me car gave me an estimate over $4000 in repairs and labor. I then took my car to this shop for a second opinion. They told me I could bring my car right away, and they would take a look at it. That was so awesome for them to do that because all the other shops at the time could not even look at my car until the next week. I found out that the first shop didn't even do what was necessary to figure out what was wrong. And the first shop had several very costly things on the estimate that weren't even broken. This shop really helped me and I would have been stuck in LA had I not found them. The pricing was fair and Chris is honest and extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to help me. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!!!!!

Chris is fairly priced and honest. He likes to use the best quality OEM parts and didn't mark them up. And had my Volvo C70 ready quicker than I expected. He points out many things that can or should be fixed in the future. But that's useful to know. He even showed where I could get the part- for an easier repair, that I could do myself - to help me out and save a little.

Chris was recommended to me by friends with Volvos. I took my Volvo S60R in for 90k service. He texted me pictures of the parts needing service and was very helpful in answering my questions. Needed new rear brakes and spark plugs. He showed me old parts when I picked up. Turns out those spark plugs were originals and should have been replaced at 60k maintenance. I've always done all recommended maintenance and thought I was getting everything done on time. I would highly recommend Chris. Very thorough.

This is my first time to this shop with my 1998 Volvo 960. Scandia Pacific and owner Chris are a car owners dream. I've never been one to go to a dealer for repairs, simply because it's too expensive and also very impersonal, with never being able to talk to the person who is actually doing the work on your car. This is not the case at SP. Friendly, informative updates, spoken in easy to understand "non-mechanic" language every time a change or repair is needed and prices that are awesome.

I won't take my Volvo anywhere else! Chris did an amazing job, and was in constant contact with me from the moment I requested a quote. He walked me through everything he was planning on doing to my S40, and mentioned a couple "non-emergency" repairs that need to be done soon. I took my S40 in to have the alternator replaced, and ended up being able to have a couple other repairs completed as well since Chris's prices are so reasonable. I am already making plans to get those other repairs done at Scandia Pacific. They definitely have my business for as long as I own my Volvo!

They wanted to charge me for a battery and labor 227 and still plus taxes and that was just the start they haven’t even checked the rest of the car. What got me upset I got back my car with black marks and asked what happened they never answered me so becareful if you leave your car overnight with them. I DON’T TUST THEM!

It always difficult to find a good Volvo mechanics took my Volvo XC90 It always difficult to find a good Volvo mechanics outside of Volvo dealerships. My XC90 has been served by Volvo dealerships in both SoCal and Las Vegas areas. The dealership did good jobs but the costs were very high. By searching Google Map, I found Scandia Pacific Automotive, which is not far away from my place. I made reservation with Nery, who is the front-desk manager, a very nice person and very efficient. Chris, the owner and the chief mechanics, was a cheerful young man who had years of experience on BMW and worked at Tesla in the past. When I asked his experience with Volvo, he told me although he just started to work on Volvo since early 2018 (less than 6 months when I brought my car to his shop), but both BMW and Volvo are very similar mechanically and he assured me he could do the best job. After check the status of the Volvo throughly, he found a tiny leak at the engine’s vacuum pump. He showed me the problem by using a mirror under the pump. He told me the leak was very small and I didn’t need to fix it right away if I choose not to. I could wait until next oil change or even longer. He also mentioned that it would be cheaper and equally proper if he simply replaced the faulty seal instead of replacing the Pump. I did know the pump had a problem through another mechanic a few years back. The other mechanic told me that I could either wait until the pump failed or if I choose to replace the pump— the cost was quoted at $1600~$1800 plus labor. I told Chris if the price was right and he could do it within the same day, I would be okay to go along with the fix. Chris explained to me that the repair process and all the works could be done around 5 pm. In the mean time Nery got the seal and quoted me a good price. So we agreed to proceed. Then to my surprise, Chris offered me a Uber ride home so that I did not need to wait in his shop for the next 7 hours. Around 5 pm Nery ordered a Uber to take me back. All the material and labor costs were less than $650—what a great service. I checked the car after going back home and all were in good condition. I rated Scandia Pacific Automotive a solid 5 and encourage people to take their Volvo to the shop and find out the outstanding work themselves.

I had my truck towed here and got a few things fixed on it. They were very responsive each time I called and my truck was even ready the next day! They developed a great customer relationship by keeping me updated through the day about my truck! Would definitely recommend!
