Went in to this branch to cash a check, at first they were refusing to cash the check, I told them to call and verify, then they told me they were also going to charge me a fee for upholding the note and they're obligation to their customer. I refused to pay the fee, so the older lady ripped the check and my ID out of the tellers hands and told me to leave then... Once I started to leave, I walked passed the security guard and he started yelling at me to "Just get the F**k out of here" he then came up behind me when I was opening the door to leave and kicked the second door open and told me to "get the F**k out" again, this time he threatened to taze me. And then followed me to my car, the whole way he was talking trash trying to egg on a fight, when I got in my car to leave, he actually said "That's what I thought Pu**y", "I'll kick your a** right now"... If your looking for a good place to start a big payday lawsuit, just go to this bank, the bald headed security guard is looking to assault someone... Happened to quick, I couldn't get it recorded, and I was flat out shocked... Just have the camera ready. Don't let the OLD manager lady be rude to you, that seems to trigger him... Good luck, hope my experience makes a better one for you!!

**BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION**Worst experience ever longest wait time and lack of communication with these employees I've been to many BOW locations this is by far the worst. Barbara Flannagan decided to adjust the BOW secrecy policy and needed to verify information on a withdrawal under 10k and refused to give me my funds unless I verified information I was in line reading reviews assuming it can't be this bad but even the manager was unprofessional by allowing her security to no step in when patrons were jumping into my conversation regarding MY finance's and he ran after me like a Chihuahua with no leash I have no idea who is allowing this but the whole location needs an adjustment seriously Barbara also stated I was not allowed to make another withdrawal that day which was crazy my last name my social yeah I get it but my ID to update where I opened my account and verifying my employer is a bit much when it's my money isn't it?

Inconsistent service here between different branches. Manager Barbara Flannagan in Stanton beach needs to make a call to the check maker if any check is above 3000 while Westminster bank didn’t and just told me running out of money. I don’t know which rule is the right one . Waste my time and rushed me out

Bank of the West is overall the worst bank I have ever used, if you're smart, never use this bank or change to a different bank before they cause problems for you.

This company has become utterly horrible. The amount of times they're closed, or have no staff is strange. Trying to call the customer service line is horrible. Can't get help in person, or by phone. What once was a good bank, has had a total downfall. Not sure if they got bought out, or what the heck happened. DONT DO BUSINESS HERE ANYMORE

Wow. I had such a good experience prior to this one in OC at the Rancho Cucamonga branch(prior to COVID). OMG the rudest most judgmental employees ever in the 2 Stanton CA locations. I'm not sure why they were so snotty when I'm sure they could use the customers. One really looked down on me; maybe because I wasn't dressed to the nines(?!). I have no idea but I just wanted to open an account.

Very disappointing bank and branch manager. She set up a meeting with me and when I went to the branch, she left early. She never even informed me that why she left early. I gave a message to the assistant manager (Barbara) and I have been informed that her manager will give me a call back. I even called in between to talk to her and I'm still waiting for her call. It has been several days but I still haven't received the call yet. Most THIRDCLASS service in US. I will take my business and my other accounts with some other bank where they treat customers with respect. Barbara needs to improve her customer service skills as she or her manager haven't returned my call back.

Very disappointing bank. I received a welcome email after opening account online. Also got a welcome call. Made test transaction to verify. Then they just closed the account without bothering to call me. This is causing lot of waste of time and bouncing debits. Phone "support" takes several hours, like 1 to 3 hours, and they still can't fix anything. No wonder Paribas is dumping them!

The worst bank I ever had. Refusing to make a copy of a check before I cash it out which is 4 cents, besides the fact that nobody answers the phone for customer service EVER. RIDICULOUS MANAGEMENT AND THE WORST BANKING SYSTEM.

I went to cash out the check and Moises Hernandez refused to make me a copy of it lying me that they cannot do that. I explained to him that for several years I never had this attitude with anybody from their Bank neither any other banks and he still refused to do it for me very arrogant and hiding his name tag and refusing to give me his name. In good faith I went to talk with Joel Amico the branch manager who was worse than Moises not accepting when I told him that hes teller is racist and refused to make me a copy which is four cents or less and I told him to stop lying me because I have over 35 years experience in the banking industry and I managed billions and big Banks with over 140 years in business in Europe including in United States and I know all of those are just Bolognese. I spent an hour in the bank and still not helped nobody listen to me. I told them I will put them online and I will file a complaint online against them and both of them didn't care. Those people should be fired, they are a pain in the community and it's very sad that they are working in a bank and doesn't know they are out of there to serve. Those bankers have zero customer service and zero managerial skills the branch manager. I called the corporate office and I filed a complaint explaining the situation and I told them how I was planning even to work for this Bank but not in this conditions. I will never hurt or insult my clients I will make extra miles exactly how is normal in a bank to greet them to welcome them to listen accurate to their needs to offer the best service and to ask them at the end thank you for being our client is anything extra that I can help you with? THAT'S how I was conducting my business for over 35 years and I will not accept this attitude around me with all the respect for Bank of the West.

Worst Bank Ever. Never enough tellers. Poorly managed bank. They should NOT be handling costumer issues on the teller side that's why their are Personal Bankers. The personal bankers are just sitting there doing nothing anyways. No sense of urgency. Super slow. Take your money and run.
