“I have lived less than a mile away from this little gem of a market and didn't know it was here until this weekend when my daughter needed eggs RIGHT NOW for a recipe she was in the middle of.I searched Maps for the closest market near me, and voila!Great produce selection, pan dulce, and oh yes, the eggs I'd come in for. I'll be back - often!”

“An interesting store with products from Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, possibly other countries. The assortment is quite large. You can find there: various cereals, rolls, teas, coffee, cookies, dried goods, waffles, candies (for Easter there were even Easter cakes), cakes, milk (sour cream, cottage cheese, butter, cheeses and curd cheeses), there are frozen pancakes and dumplings , sausages, fish (mackerel, herring, etc.), caviar (red, black), cooking (salads, soups, borscht) and much more. There is also a department with spices, cosmetics, books (which I really liked, but the prices for books are too high), and a small first aid kit.The store is expensive in terms of price, but overall not bad. The only thing that spoiled the mood was the expired products. Pay attention not only to the date, but also to the condition of the product itself. For example, we came across cottage cheese that can be consumed until September 24, 2024, but it was moldy inside.”

“Nice bustling Trader Joe's. Everything seems to be fresh stocked. I often buy more than I go in for because there is a great selection of real food. You don't have to worry about trans fats and artificial anything here. Everything is all natural very good quality and decent prices.”

“I used to buy flowers in this store. They always had a lot and nice flowers. But my recent visit was very disappointing, they had only few and very bad flowers. Maybe because of hot weather I don’t know, but I hope it will change ?”

“I like Trader Joe's for some basics, including frozen penne arrabbiata, hash browns, and maple flavored poffertjes. I also like the fresh micro greens. Easy breakfast, lunch and dinners at a reasonable price.”

“TJ's is my convenient weekly go-to spot for all kinds of groceries. So much friendlier and fun than a massive super market.

LOVE their $1 greeting cards, gorgeous fresh plants and flowers, and wonderful produce. Also adore unexpected specialty items like ganache mini sheet cake, herb pizza dough, slice-and-cook polenta, and so much more!”

“This store has amazing fresh produce and Hanna at the food counter is always giving out samples of his freshly cooked food. Everything in that counter is so delicious!!!”

“such a great local market and i can walk there from my house! the great thing about the local market is that they carry many local brands, which helps our small local businesses. i especially love the selection of baked goods, pies, breads, scones, all from local bakers. they do carry most of the recognized name brand produce, dairy, cereals, etc...so even if you don't want to buy local, you can still buy the nationally branded items. this market is family-owned, and you can feel that small town, local mom and pop when you're shopping and checking out. you feel welcome, unlike the larger chain supermarkets. although i walk here, there is definitely lots of parking on site and on the street.”

“Just like other Trader Joe's. They have good stuff but not necessarily everything you need. Good produce, ok bread, good selection of frozen food, dried fruits and nuts etc.”

“If you're looking for freshest produce outside of a farmers market you go here. The people there are always nice and helpful, especially when you find yourself shuffling around during off peak hours. I see the same people and it's just a nice feeling. They aren't that big but they carry enough meats, cheeses, breads and eggs to keep a household ready for anything. I love this place.”

“Great prepared foods, nice people, excellent selection of specialty foods like Marianne Ice Cream and LaVilla raviolis.Update on 4/29/24 -First time visiting after a few years. They still have a great selection of cheese and local specialties like those La Villa ravs, ice cream, pies and more. Shoppers seem to enjoy the samples laid out from the deli department and many of their options are individually packed for convenience.”

“Been customer of this halal food market for years now! You can find Afghan and Pakistani I food related items here including great selection of amazing spices. Frozen hot links, beef and Turkey bacon strips as well as fresh meat and poultry from their butchery. They also bake fresh Afghan bread at this place. They have some seasonal exotic fruits here like Afghan grapes, sweet mangoes and delicious pomegranates (best to call store prior to visiting for these fruits) wide selection of dried fruits and nuts. They have baked goods as well also delicious corn breads. Exotic pickles and quality mango, grapes, guava and pomegranate drinks. They also sell quality tea sets and other decorative high end tea cutlery. They treat customers with respect, accept cash, debt, credit, ebt as well, store is a nice size but it's fully stocked so walk around carefully haha, im not gona say their prices are affordable or expensive because they do sell quality merchandise. Overall, pretty decent. I've had negative experience at this store in the past but 1 bad experiences out of few is not a bad deal.”

“Stumbled across this little market after attending an event at a hotel in San Mateo. I needed to pick up some labne and pita, and this place was close by. I didn't read any reviews prior to coming in - TBH if I had seen the review from June 2022 talking about the anti-Ukraine rant I probably would have found a different place to shop.Anyways, this place had a decent selection of Middle Eastern foods for its size. Notably, they have Ritter Sport chocolate bars priced less than $3 and Milka Alpine milk bars for less than $2. I don't think I've ever seen prices that low.Too bad this place is so far away from home, otherwise I'd be coming here more regularly. FWIW the person behind the counter did not engage in any political discourse as we checked out.”

“Very good deli sandwiches!! I grew up coming to Roberts market as a kid and it's still the same... they always have made me a great sandwich and the only downfall as you have to take a number sometimes there is a long wait... I highly recommend!!!”

“Great location, although the only one in the peninsula. They have a great selection of items, given how small their overall volume must be. Sadly, some items don't get restocked frequently, and it's a pain to figure out who can help you find out when they will be in stock. For those items that are in stock, sometimes they are close to date of expiration - which is typical for commissaries. This location probably does it less frequently than most, anecdotally.”

“I was so surprised when this particular chain came into Palo Alto since so many people in PA tend to protest what they consider "discount" stores because they feel it's out of touch with the Palo Alto "brand. <insert eyetoll here>

We have lots of students with Stanford University and elderly people on fixed incomes; a store like this is very helpful to their budgets. The store takes snap EBT cards and I found out that you can buy starter vegetable plants for your garden and Snap will pay for it. I took this picture last weekend.

This location is a very nice store. It's clean and it has a really decent selection of many favorites that you can get at any grocery store, but at Grocery Outlet for a much better price.

Best, the store is small, easy to navigate for somebody with mobility issues to go through and the employees are friendly and helpful.”
