I love supporting local businesses with local graduates from our high schools. This little market has grown so much from its humble beginnings and is expanding all the time.
I come here specifically to buy Tomahawk steaks for my clients when they sell or buy a home as a closing. It's been a real big hit with my clients, particularly the young veterans, and it's one of the few places I know for sure they'll carry it year round.
They carry a wide selection of prepared foods and grocery items. We have even purchased our ? turkey for Thanksgiving here and Christmas prime rib.
Staff at the meat counter are friendly, quick to answer questions, and efficient. You can always call and ask for the meat counter if you want pricing over the phone.

Everyone knows the meat is amazing here. But I recently went there to grab their chips and a couple different dips. The elite dip and their salsas are really good. Anyway, I grab the chips and dips and I get a message from the wife. "See if they have heirloom tomatoes and grab a Blanco tequila for drinks tonight"
So two amazing things happened. They had heirlooms which are hard to find right now. And I discovered they have an amazing tequila selection! They blow Bevmo out of the water. I only needed a cheap blanco for mixed drinks but they had three different choices of Arette including Gran Classe(amazing) and a few options of La Gritona and other really nice tequilas. They had Lalo too which is popular right now but for people new to tequila.
If you're into good tequila and you don't want to drive all the way to the great shop in Old Town you need to check these guys out!

Would give 5 stars, but I picked up a pork butt and it had a big ol slice taken out of it, I was hoping for better quality from a 50 dollar piece of pork. All of the roasts were all wrapped in plastic, so I couldn't see this before purchasing. I contacted them to see if they can make this right before reviewing, but never got a response.

Always enjoy going to this establishment for my catering needs. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. This store has been around for years
I recall my family coming to shop here for meats when I was a youngster and after all these years they have never disappointed us. Love Valley Farm Market!

I went to Valley Farms Market today for my first time. I had some questions and found the gentlemen at the meat counter were extremely knowledgeable but also bursting with enthusiasm. Ivan G. took the time to answer every question I had, but he also educated me along the way. I was pleasantly surprised to find this level of customer service along with their amazing meat selections. And let’s talk about their fresh Seared Ahi Tuna. Ivan gave us a sample and we bought the rest they had in the display counter. It was amazing! I don’t write a lot of reviews, but Valley Farms Market made a loyal customer out of me today and I’ll tell everyone about them. Their service is 10 out of 10! Thank you, Ivan.

It's nice to have a trendy market so close to home, especially one with such a nice butcher built in. If you need basic staples, or don't have a shopping list but do have an interest in brands that are organic/locally owned/small business, Valley Farm has got you covered.
On the other hand... if there's something in particular you need and there's any doubt in your mind that Valley Farm has it, they almost absolutely don't have it. The number of times I've left this store without everything on my shopping list is staggering, probably 80% of the time. Beef broth, parmesan, cocoa powder, buttermilk, vermicelli, curry roux, the list is nigh infinite. What's really infuriating is that there are often so many *similar* products to what I'm looking for in niche, unfamiliar brands that I'm stuck standing in an aisle like an idiot giving a shelf a triple pass because it just feels like they *should* have what I'm looking for, but never do. Also sometimes the bougie brands are way overboard and it pays to pay attention to the prices, I picked up a chocolate bar and started walking away before I turned around and checked the price on a whim, $20! Who needs a $20 bar of chocolate...
The staff are kind and prices for the basic sundries are fair for the area, I hear their prepared food is great but haven't tried. I like shopping here but wish they had less choices of single items (an entire isle of meat rubs) and more different products altogether.
Update 04/24: After a year of coming here, I'm just over it. Done coming here. This place was charming at first but the more I came here the more issues I noticed.
- The butcher service is cool, but every time I come in there's like 4 guys working the kitchen and packing product, I've had to stand there for minutes at times, even say 'Yo!' before I can get help from one of the several people milling around. And then half the time they act like they don't know what they're selling! I ask for boneless chicken thighs and they start looking around aimlessly for them, I ask for a prime cut and they give me choice, ask for 80/20 ground beef and they give me 90/10. I feel like I'm inconveniencing them...
-The prices are just beyond insane, they sell some things you can't get other places but the majority of the stock is the same stuff you can find at Albertsons and GrossOut down the street, marked up 200, sometimes 300% of what stuff costs at those other stores.
-Their produce sucks, I've purchased a ton of fruit and veg that turn out to be bad after getting it home, the fact that they don't sell local produce during prime harvest time for those things really sucks for how high-end a store they're trying to be.
