“Beautiful resort with large, fully furnished RV sites. Washrooms are pristine, pool was really nice. Laundry was reasonably priced -- you need the payrange app to pay for washers&dryers. Staff are great -big shout-out to Joanne at the front desk and Kibb, who maintains the place. The first night we arrived late and the battery died on our tow car. We had to push it into our site after parking our RV. In the morning we discovered we had parked in the wrong site in the dark. Joanne assisted us and said she would get someone from maintenance to give us a battery boost. I called the front desk to follow up and the lady (not Joanne) who answered told me that "no, we don't do that" (provide boosts). Very unhelpful. Kibbs from maintenence arrived a minute later, gave us a boost, and we were able to move to our correct site. WIFI was awful, and given what guest were paying to stay here, I expected better. I read in a review from over a month ago that even the wifi you paid for was equally bad. Sun Outdoors said they would check with their provider, but obviously there's been no improvement. For this reason and the unhelpful woman at the front desk, I took away one star.”
“Great place, nice environment, and reasonably priced for the view and food. The service was friendly, polite and accommodating. My only gripe, would be a personal server. instead of being served at the table, I had to walk up and order food , and pay.maybe cause it's the slow time but someone should be working the floor and making sure everyone is ok.I go to restaurants or eaterys to relax. I don't wanna do the foot work to feed my family and I. Other than that, don't pass this place up delicious food, friendly service. keep up the wonderful food. I hope many more people try this place.”

“The location was perfect it was close to a lot of good restaurants. The service was amazing, one of the workers named Sabrina was so helpful to my family and I. She was so nice and friendly. Sabrina made the trip 5 times better. If anything Sabrina should get a raise.

“Very surprised how clean the rooms were. This location had plenty of free parking. We arrived around 11pm on a Friday and check in was fast. Really nice experience. Safe location.

“We had an amazing time from the start to the finish at Pier South Resort. Ronell was the first one to greet me and did an amazing job at making us feel welcome. We were taken care of as soon as we stepped foot into the door. This is the most underrated hotel I have been to (even though very highly rated anyway). I give this place a 12/10 stars!!”
“We stayed here for 3 days. The stay was very pleasant and safe.1. good and healthy breakfast is provided.2. The rooms are very tidy and all the utensils are given to cook your food.3. The parking and the stay is safe.4. The place is near to some major attractions like San Diego zoo and balboa park.5. There are near by eateries in 5-10 mins drive.6. The front desk was very professional and friendly staff.But they should have provided the free parking for the room price. It’s little bit expensive.”

“The hotel was clean, friendly staff, and a little store in the lobby to buy snacks, drinks, and toiletries. The morning breakfast was wonderful, having a variety of foods, drinks, and coffee. The room was clean, ac worked, and had plenty of hot water to take a shower and flat screen tv to watch shows. Only 11 miles to Seasame Street Place, which is our destination. We will be back to stay at this hotel again for sure. Thank you to Johnathan and Maria, who were the staff last night, and check us in with outstanding service.Rooms: Our king bed was comfortable and had 4 good size pillows to sleep on. Had plenty of towels, wash clothes, hand towels, and was stocked with large Dove hand soap, Dove hand lotion, Dove shampoo and conditioner, and Dove Body wash.Walkability: Many food restaurants' locations are next to the hotel, so you don't have to really leave the hotel and lose your parking spot.”
“This is a great hotel! I was in San Diego because my uncle was in the hospital. He wasn't doing much better by the end of our stay but Joseph the manager accommodated us and let us extend our stay for another week even tho they were full! The hotel beds were clean and comfortable. The gym was perfect for a good workout, and on-site laundry right across the hall was very convenient. The staff was friendly the coffee in the continental breakfast is bomb. If we need to stay again I'll definitely book here and for a fair price.”

When I arrived exhausted, a few hours before check-in, she was able to get me into a room before the stated reservation time so I could rest from a long day of traveling. It was a huge help and and not something she needed to do, but it was no big deal for Liz.Liz and the team also saved me a huge headache. In my rush to leave, I managed to forget to put my laptop in my bag. I hadn't even noticed it was missing yet when I received a call from Liz letting me know she had it and would keep it safe for me until I could come back to pick it up.!The room and location are nothing special, but the service was top notch! I can't thank Liz and her team enough for their incredible hospitality.”

“Stayed there for 2 days after I broke my foot. Asked for downstairs and/or handicapped room. Got both! Woman behind desk was awesome. Helped with anything I needed because she could tell, I was new to the whole on crutches thing, lol. Left a lg bag behind, she called with in an hour of me leaving, I drove back got my lg bag from house keeping (with a smile) and was happy to see my bag had not been gone through, everything was still in my bag. WOW! Im a happy customer, recommended. Thank you for having integrity and kindness.”

“I have been staying at the welcome in for the last two months and I absolutely love it there. It’s comfortable it feels like Home. The people are awesome. That work in the office. Good people nice small complex. It feels like a studio apartment instead of a motel. Not a lot of creepy people stay there normal people they’re just really great. I love it there. It’s my favorite place.. I miss it already

The couple who run the hotel are very nice and they always look out for me. If you're honest with them and actually do what you say you're going to do and don't bring a bunch of nonsense then they'll respect your privacy and treat you good. I can't complain.
