UPDATE: Kayla, the branch manager as of June 2024, does a superb job. She was patient with me and took the time to showcase the different accounts available, including those that are totally free like the BMO Smart Advantage Checking account, as well as free accounts for minors.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Go into the branch and talk to a teller and get physical literature that discloses clearly what fees you will be charged for your account! I received a promotional card in the mail to open a new checking account. After opening the account online, I was soon hit with a surprise $25/monthly fee. Today, the branch manager reversed the charge, and also explained they do have different accounts that have no monthly fee. (The manager agreed that the promotion card I received was not clear about fees.) So save yourself the headache and research the account first in-person before being blindsided after opening an account online!

One of the best BMO branches! Had a delightful experience today! ???Amanda is one of the most chill, relaxed bank tellers I’ve ever met and easy to get along with! Was having issues with my business/personal account, she made full effort trying to help me resolve the issue, then comes the branch Manager Kayla (hope I spelled it correctly) to the rescue lol, she even put effort trying to help me resolve my issue, spent about 25-30 minutes with her, she was very determined to figure out what was going on with account! It was one mobile deposit a few transfers and a few reverse transactions that brought a little confusion. However Amanda and Kayla deserve 5 stars for their excellent service today! I would drive 15 miles just to come in say hi to them ????????

Came to get a bunch of $20s unbroken(?)Love that there's a Physical bank out here. Didn't think they'd make it out the midwest. Will be back for setting up kids savings and other money type accounts

This bank is now BMO Bank. When I walked in to open a trust account the first person to greet me was the branch manager! Her name is DeAnna and she asked how she could help me. (When do you ever see the manager in the lobby of ANY bank??) She got the service rep., Nelvis to help me. It was a complicated transaction but they both guided me through the process in a friendly and professional manner. I had tried 3 other banks and they were either too busy, didn't care or told me to come back. THANK YOU DeANNA & NELVIS. I highly recommend this BMO branch for any of your banking. The best thing of all was they had the best CD rates of any other bank I had been to.

UPDATE: branch had me call Cynthia Pearson (manager) to let her know my experience at this branch. Left her a vm over 2 weeks ago and as of 9/12/22 no call back or follow up. Horrible service obviously this bank doesn't care about their customers. No wonder the banks are empty now!!

Stupidest bank ever. I'm moving my money to a bank that actually has a real scheduled time of business not one that changes every day. My local branch in El Cajon is closed until the can find employees cause evidently they are short on staff. I can't get more then $5k unless I order it 24 hours in advance. I drive all the way to spring valley because like I said my El Cajon branch is closed and when I get there at 12:32 they tell me there closed for lunch. Wtf. I have never heard of a bank close up to go to lunch. It's a complete clown show with thins bank. I have another account with chase and they s*** on this bank. I'm literally late by 2 min and they can't accommodate me cause they don't have employees. This is the most ridiculous bank ever. They are worse then union bank. Don't bank with these guys it's not worth it.

Went in for a wire transfer right at noon. Filled out the form and was told by a senior service person that I needed to start the wire now because she was going on lunch at 1230. I told her it would be about a minute for me to contact my loan officer to confirm the loan information and make sure I wasn't get scammed. Was told that wasn't acceptable, that wires take at least 20 minutes, and I needed to leave because the branch was closed for lunch. Was offered to return at 130pm to complete the wire. Getting everything right on a refi can be difficult with all the moving parts involved and that is compounded by someone who preemptively shuts down a bank branch almost a half hour before they said their lunch starts. Been a bank of the west customer for well over a decade. The lack of branches in San Diego was difficult to deal with but it has always been my bank so I stuck in there but it's time to move on.

Went here to cash a check like I've done before and the guy at the desk wasn't very friendly. Refused to cash it and told me to go to my own bank. Crappy customer service and will not waste my time at this location again.

This bank is not trustworthy, they aloud an unauthorized transaction to be made and kicked me to the curb and i lost almost 700 dollars. Don't bank with them.
