“Clean and organized Hispanic market. Great for buying vegetables. I wish they sold Brazilian products, but on my quick visit I didn't see any. I will definitely shop there again.”

“Grill City: Delicious authentic Filipino food: pork sinigang, golden pompano and lots of rice. One feels like on vacation in the Philippines surrounded with a lot of all happy smiling Filipino. Service is great. Very clean place. All made from fresh food unlike the crappy processed food from the American food chains in this area and on top of that even cheaper!”

“Breakfast sandwich was DELICIOUS. This pregnant lady highly recommends this place for a quick breakfast/lunch stop! The guys working there were very sweet and caring! Felt like family and it was my first time there! I wish I had a picture of my sandwich but I gobbled it up so quick”

“My friend is constantly looking for some Eastern European food. She also lives in MN and has been craving to get back to this place which we went to yesterday. My god, the potato pie here made by someone that works here is just astounding. You can get in the market in the frozen food section. We had some beef sausages and found some plum wine that looks amazing although she said it might taste a bit like ether. She's going to share some with her brothers when she sees them in a couple of days. I'll be back when out of town friends come to visit to spoil them with homemade treats.”

“Very organized and clean market. I came in for an ingredient I am not familiar with and the woman at the cashier knew exactly what I was looking for and showed me my options. This will definitely be my go-to shop for Indian/Figian grocery. Great location with pretty easy parking as there are a few parking lots around the corner”

“Nice market, but I got fresh pasta and it was gummy and didn't enjoy it. Also didn't have some items like sweetened coconut flakes which I thought it was strange.”

“They have everything here, a butcher at the meat section, stocked shelves and very nice vegetables. Prices are a little high but they offer senior discounts to 55+ so make sure you ask for it before you pay.”

“This store is a "diamond in the rough". From the outside it looks small, but inside it is packed with wine, water, sodas and other beverages. They also have a wide variety of snack items, food, and household goods. The clerk was kind and very helpful. #greatnotsolittlemarket”

“Looks nice! The owner offered help when I need, but there was a lot of food I'd never seen, so I thought I need to more learn those for my next visit. Some reviewers here said that they didn't show a food price, but I can now find the cost with food.”

“I'm a 80's baby, this grocery store has always been in the neighborhood. So much history at this store, some good, some bad. The store remodeling is way better than it was before, more brighter, open space and if they started cooking food they probably get more customers. They have fresh produce, fruits vegetables All your grocery needs. I don't know the owners but I did meet the cashier and he was super polite.. Check out the local shop..”

“With the number of grocery shopping options on Stockton Street, it's easy to overlook this 3-in-1market. Given the store size, you won't find a comprehensive variety of produce or products. It's a backup shopping spot for me when I'm unable to find vegetables or cooking ingredients either at that SoCal based chain supermarket or other neighboring stores. They have fish tanks in the rear area behind the cashier counter and back right corner while the meat section is along the right wall towards the front as you walk in. In the center area, you'll find open freezer bins with various seafood like abalone, oysters, mussels, scallops, and sea cucumber as well as packed fish balls and other processed seafood products. I've come here a couple times when my normal shopping spot didn't have okra. I come here normally when I can't find okra. I can't vouch for their meats and seafood price and quality wise as I have not bought from those sections. Good backup spot for me.”

“Usually shop here twice a week. Well-packaged fruits and veggies. They carry varieties of Asian products~ both fresh and frozen. They also carry sliced frozen meat, seafood and other hot pot items which is hard to find in other places. Lots of fresh produces and daily groceries for a small market.Super friendly people as well running the store.”

“Just chiming in to say the sandwiches are still as good as I remember them from 20 or so years ago when this area was my stomping grounds. I happened to be in the area today around lunchtime. My first thought was to go to Sam's Sandwiches, but I found out they had closed for good. Next thought was Adeline, and I was happy to see they are open and thriving! I think what makes their sandwiches so good is the liberal use of thinly sliced red onion. Whatever it is, there's just something really great about what appear to be very basic sandwiches.”

“The perfect convenience store for when you're on Oak St towards Octavia to US-101 or I-80 and the Bay Bridge. You can easily stop for the necessities during your commute street parking is easy, and the staff are super friendly. For my commute it's a pint of Haagen-Dazs, a Gatorade and a bag of Kettle brand chips for the days when there is traffic.. Let's just say I eat a lot of ice cream. What's your favorite snack during a long commute?”

“Buddies market is very convenient, Paul the owner has to pass the connivence fee onto his customers just to stay in business considering he is right next door to the Canyon Market just to stay competitive, he carries quite a bit and if customer's ask for specific items, Paul will go out of his way to accommodate their requests. He is too small of a store for outside vendors to bother with or requesting an outrageous amount of product per month that he cannot order from the big boys so that leaves him having to do about 90% of item shopping by himself, he's a hard working man who has suffered in the past with an unfortunate attempt on his life that sometimes he doesn't smile, he's a good man who loves his family and his customer base, I've worked for him going on 5 years now and have earned his trust and respect, I work as hard as he does and together we keep the store up and running, he does not own the building therefore the outside look leaves little to desire but the landlord does not take any interest in keeping it from being an eyesore. The stores overhead is unbelievable it's very expensive just to turn the lights on much less open for 11 hours straight, new store hours are Saturday through Thursday 9:00am to 8:00pm and Friday 9:00am to 8:30pm Stop in and say hello to Paul, he would appreciate it if you took the time to say hello.”

“Tofu and bean sprouts are some of my food staples, which I normally buy at Bay Area supermarkets. There are several brands in the market, but I prefer Wo Chong, which is a brand I grew up with as it was the brand my parents used. Wo Chong is fourth generation San Francisco business since 1935 that produces tofu and bean sprouts, soy bean sprouts, clover sprouts and onion sprouts. It's one of several Chinatown institutions still in operation. The store is very basic with displays of fruits and produce. On the left case are the fresh bean sprouts that you can buy pre-bagged or loose at $.85/lb and the packages of tofu in silken, soft and firm textures at $1.25. At the counter, there are two types of tofu you can buy by the piece at $1.50 and $.25 each. They also sell fresh soy milk and noodles too. I will now be stopping at Wo Chong when I'm in Chinatown to get my tofu and bean sprouts. Can't get any better than getting it from the source and at lower prices than the store and markets than sells them.”

“I love this place! I shop here all the time. The staff are all very sweet and the grocery selection is excellent and high quality. Prices are very good. My favorite part is the wine selection. It's all very high quality wine in the under $20 category, mostly under $15. A lot of southern hemisphere stuff, but some European classics and newer style domestic wines. Whoever the wine buyer is knows what they're doing. Thank you!”

“Average super market for Asian groceries. The produces are pretty fresh and they have live fishes, and fresh meats. Place always busy but prices are reasonable compared to other local Asian supermarkets. However, the service is not great. Most of the cashiers speaks little English.I like going here because has parking and can be in and out.”

“My favorite corner liquor store, with a good variety of stuff at reasonable pricing, they have Faygo Cotton candy soda, 12 oz PBR $1, Piroshkis, good selection of imported /micro brews.Lotto scratchers... Only issue is so much stuff- not much room to move. There's a Legend that someone had sex under a blanket in front of here a couple years ago on Thanksgiving day just before the store opened for the day.”

The store exudes elegance and charm, creating a pleasant atmosphere for shoppers. The presence of a florist adds a touch of beauty to the environment, making every visit a delight. Irresistible Bakery and Cakes: The bakery at Draeger's is a sweet tooth's dream come true. The cakes are not only visually stunning but also incredibly delicious. From classic favorites to unique creations, their bakery never disappoints. Exceptional Prepared Food Department: For those days when cooking is not on the agenda, Draeger's prepared food department comes to the rescue. The variety and quality of ready-to-eat options make it easy to enjoy a gourmet meal without the hassle of cooking. Upstairs Extravaganza: The upstairs area is a treasure trove for kitchen enthusiasts. The added bonus of special events and cooking school sessions upstairs makes it a multifaceted destination for food lovers. The opportunity to meet and learn from such influential figures adds an extra layer of excitement to the Draeger's experience. It's disheartening to hear about the potential changes to the building, but the prospect of a smaller version of the market on the first level provides some comfort. Draeger's Market has become a local culinary institution, and I hope the essence of this wonderful place continues in its new form. For now, I'll continue to savor the unique offerings that make Draeger's a true gem in San Mateo.”
