Wish I could give them a lower score. They continuously intimidate and police youth of color and the community at large. Only ten years ago did they murder an SSF teenager, Derrick Gaines, at the Arco gas station in Westborough. Ssfpd protects property, not people. Actual rating: -1000

Racism and misogyny are the norm for some officers of this department…!I was working in the Bay Area from Europe for 2.5 years. During my stay I ended up in a situation that I never anticipated: I became pregnant by my then partner who I lived together with. Unexpectedly, he became abusive and on one day came home intoxicated and harassed me. I had to refrain to calling the police who confiscated a weapon that wasn’t registered in his name. Also, they advices me to leave our home for my safety.When I requested to see the documentation, they neither mentioned that he was intoxicated, not that he had harassed me, nor that I felt unsafe and was advised to leave over night not that they took away the gun that he had. Also, they never advised me about filing a report.When I emailed about this, the officer tried to gaslight me but became worried when I mentioned that they left out the confiscatedgun. I should have filed a complaint.

Wow just watched a video of 6 officers from this precinct with insane aggression issues attack and assault a peaceful law abiding journalist. It was disgraceful and is more than likely going to cost the residents hundreds of thousands of $ in a lawsuit.

I have nothing but good to say about SSFPD. My experiences have been positive and have found their officers to be polite and respectful and responsive. They do an excellent job at serving and protecting the South San Francisco and neighboring communities. They work efficiently, sometimes in collaboration with other agencies to stop and solve crime. Thank you, SSFPD, for all your diligent hard work and for keeping us safe!

I went to ask a question and the service was bad. A man with a very ugly attitude helped me, although later he lowered two lines to his sign!!!

This force is tops. Though pictured they look though they have a heart of gold. One night 3 totally black cars appeared out if nowhere within a minute of my call for help in a stressful situation. If they are this fast no bad guys hang around. The old industrial city has changed. We are now all safe.
