“Some of the best Mediterranean food in the area. I’m always coming back for their lamb shank and chicken plate. The plate of rice they give with each plate is packed with flavor, the meat is fall of the bone, good side salad and of course their dollop of garlic or spicy sauce pairs so good with the meat and rice. They also have a wide range of Mediterranean goods in their market, ranging from spices to snack to canned goods. 10/10 place, also the guys working there are really friendly and helpful”

From Roberts to Hawaii Or Roberts to Denver Colorado, this is the only Povi (brisket) I will pay for from Cali been buying Povi from Roberts meat for years, Rico is the best! Knowing the traffic is hectic on this street he brings our cases of brisket out to our vehicles, always has a smile & super friendly. “This Market is within the Cal Mart Market. When yougo ask for Andy or any of the guys can help. They can order any special meat, fish or poultry you will need. They are busy so please be patient. Everything is in I've and arranged so you see their proteins through the glass. Makes for great ambiance. Ha ok I said the last sentence to get the for ambiance. But in all seriousness- Great service and quality meats, chickens and fish.”

The beef cheeks and flank steak were absolutely delicious!Keep in mind it is a butchery, so you go through a store to order your food. The place is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is very friendly.”

“They have nearly everything you need in this small store and the checkout line rarely has more than one person in front of you. I laugh at the people traipsing up to Trader Joe's to wait in long lines for produce that is vastly inferior to that in this store.I've seen some comments on the meat section and there is some validity. Check the pack dates, which are accurate, and if it is within the last 2 days your selection will be A+. I go here all the time for fish and chicken.”
“Snowflake beef? We definitely needed that in our hot pot mix for Christmas! And while we're at it, gotta try the pork belly and lamb too!All of it was high quality, *melt-in-your-mouth* meat. After waiting in line for an hour, my cousin snagged 5 lbs of fatty cow, 3 lbs of lamb and 2 lbs of pork belly and the 14 of us could barely finish half. She said it's a one man show: meat cut to order and the dude's handling the cashier portion too. Totally worth it....except this is coming from someone who didn't wait in line. Thanks, cuzzo!”

“Always happy with the meat from here. The staff is helpful and friendly and happy you give advice if you're not sure what you need or even how to cook it. If you don't see it in the case, just ask - they're happy to cut to your liking. My favorite is probably the pork belly, they cut it uniform so it cooks right. I was surprised at their pricing it's lower than I expected for quality meats. Great local business!”

“Don't miss this place, this is a 150 year old shop making Cantonese style preserved meats. I got some dried pork belly and lap cheong. And some dried chicken leg and some kind of flattened pork. The owner lady cut it it up for me too.”

“The best of the best.Don't waste your time going anywhere else.Everything is top quality and if you want some delicious hot Italian sausage you have to call and order over the phone and pick up two days later.Their hot Salami is out of this world.I could go on and on.This place is a San Francisco institution .Open to the public from 9:00 am till 2:00.Monday through Friday.They might be closed for lunch from 12:00 pm till 12:30”

“Yangtze is a nice, small, family-run meat and fish market. Their prices are good and their products are fresh. I've had better luck with fish at Yangtze than at nearby Manila Oriental Market. Their crabs are lively and turn over fast and they carry free-range chickens (ask for the "farm chicken"). They're also good for specialty items like beef tendon. They carry a limited range of produce too. My guess is that the staff is Chinese, but I've also seen them communicate well in Spanish.”

Clean butcher shop, fresh produce, locals packed through the whole store, wonderful cashier ladies and helpful employees behind the counter, and best of all -- the premarinated meat!!! got the chicken and carne asada for a big bbq and it was a hit. Would definitely come back and recommend over and over again.”
