Just when you think there’s no hope left for humanity, you get a multiple attempts via phone and text from Hertz letting you know that you left your wallet behind and they have it available to retrieve at the check in counter. I know it may seem a little weird to compliment people for something that should be considered standard practice, but sadly, this is often not the case these days. So just wanted to give a shout out to the folks at Hertz on Mason St. for their honesty, and give others who might find themselves in a similar bind a little bit of hope! Ty!

Went to check out getting a job there, but they pay less now than they did when I worked for them in 2019. They also just went through a bankruptcy, and their payroll dept. left a lot to be desired, which left me paying taxes on bonuses I never received, then being awarded a pennies on the dollar award from a lawsuit regarding their payroll, and had to pay taxes AGAIN!!!!!

The car I rented was not available, received a comparable car after going back and forth a lot. This is after waiting in line at the Hertz gold member counter for a bit to start with. Got the car, windshield wiper fluid was low. Drove to my first stop, got a low tire pressure warning. Ended up not being able to use the car at all. Hertz would not send out roadside assistance to change the tire on a car they sent out with a nail in the tire. Just awful all around.

The lady who checked us in got upset at my partner for telling me she wasn’t used to the check in process for your company and the clerk began making rude remarks. She kept telling my partner she was “arguing” but we are not sure she really knows what that word means. My partner tried to explain several times she wasn’t arguing, and just wanted to finish and leave, and the clerk and the other lady next to her both threatened to “e mail “ my partner’s employers which is also confusing since my partner is an independent contractor. She also said several times “we don’t have to give you the car.” I have a video which I will be sharing around shortly. If these ladies are the kind of people representing your brand, I think people should know how they can expect to be treated when your employees are tired or maybe don’t like someone they don’t know based on certain differences. Not a good look.

If Roderick and his team and are representative of the Hertz brand and what it stands for, it’s no surprise the company is in trouble. I went there in earnest to buy a car and they intentionally misrepresented the contract I was signing on multiple accounts to coerce me into adding options that would increase the cost of the car under the guise of reducing my monthly payments. They lied about the interest rate I was being offered, telling me that the lowest possible rate for me was 5% higher than what the bank had actually offered me, then told me that if I added on an optional plan they would be able to lower my monthly payments substantially. In reality, they simply gave me the interest rate I already would have been offered and through that blatant intentional misrepresentation, tricked me into signing on for what amounts to thousands of dollars of additional costs over the course of paying off the car.I have attempted to contact them repeatedly by phone, and have now sent 4 emails to them regarding these unwanted options over the past week, all of which have been ignored.I cannot urge anyone reading this enough — if you are looking for a car, look elsewhere. To Roderick and his team at Hertz in South San Francisco — You have not only lost any future business from me, whether buying or renting a car, but from my roommate who is also in the market for a car that was with me when I made my purchase and was planning to buy from your lot. And I can guarantee you that because of my experience with you, no friend or family member of mine will ever give Hertz their business again.

"I am delivering your car right now, sir."So explained Allan, the courteous and professional salesman who assisted me with my purchase today. We had just concluded the transaction, and Allan was driving my SUV all the way from San Francisco to the East Bay to deliver it to me. Better than that, we had conducted the entire thing over text messaging! I already knew the vehicle that I wanted, and all I had to do was text a copy of my check, my driver's license, and my insurance card. Yes, it really was just that simple. When I asked Alan to let me know what day he would be coming over, he texted me that he "was on his way." My beautiful black SUV was in my driveway in 1 hour! Are you kidding me? Where do they find these guys! Good old-fashioned great customer service. This is the fifth vehicle we have purchased from Hertz Car Sales. Here is the key difference: There is no pressure whatsoever. From start to finish, it is simple. If you check the car prices, you will discover they are on the very low side. That was true today on my purchase of my Toyota RAV4.So all around a delightful experience. Honestly, I am hard-pressed to explain how it could be any better. I would not keep buying cars here if they did not give me outstanding service. (And no, I am not the brother-in-law of the manager.)

Hi, buying from Hertz was a breeze. I picked up my car for a 3 day test drive at SF airport. I received emails re the buying process and I was even able to close the deal on a holiday thanks to the excellent service by Rene P. in their South San Francisco location. The rental fees were waived once I purchased the car and even though I received a bill which caused me some angst, Rene was able to explain that was just a copy showing that the rental was billed to Hertz Corporate. Rene was responsive even after he sold the car...that was a nice gesture.

I've bought 3 cars from them since 2009. The only thing I don't like about the place is how small and cramped (and kinda dirty) the office is. Other than that, it's a great place to buy a used car.

After literally signing paperwork for a 2018 Highlander Hybrid, I backed out and thought to do my due diligence and call one more place (I had called 8 different dealerships). I called and spoke with a manager (Edmer) and he said before I sign, come in and see him. I told him what the dealership offered, APR (wasn't thrilled), and trim.

BUYER BEWARE.A few days ago I made an appt. to buy a 2019 Dodge Challenger. This is my dram car and I was so excited to finally purchase it. I paid for a carfax report, got the down payment together, and all of my documents and was told to come in today 8/1 to meet with Eric to buy the car. So today i called to make sure he was there and he told me "oh hey yea sorry actually I sold that car but I do have a charger" WHAT??? After paying to get the car report, getting the money together, getting all my documents together I had to call him to find out he sold the car he told me he was going to sell me..?? Wow. Im actually speechless. They also ran my credit without me saying to so my credit also went down without me saying that was ok to do. This was going to be my first car buying experience. I called another location and they told me they dont always even have the cars they advertise. This place is crooked...I see why they just went out of business. Im glad they did, these kind of people dont deserve to be in business.

THE WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER! They are rude and they won't help the client, my company bought a car from them and the car is nowhere to be found, starting with the fact that they were eating while they were talking to me, then after they didn't want to see the receipt they only said the car wasn't there that they don't have Ford Fusion... what??? After they said that we were I. The wrong location and finally they treated me so rude and closed the door on my face! So rude so nasty
