Goodwill Store & Donation Center
Tried to donate my dads old suits which are in perfect condition today just to find out that they only have specific days and hours that they accept donations and today wasn't one of them. I was going to leave the bagged items anyway but an employee came out to tell me that I couldn't. I told him that he could either take them or that I could just throw them away in the dumpsters next to me. He indicated that I could put them in the dumpster and then walked away. If a charity makes it that difficult to donate, then they don't deserve your donations. Take them somewhere where they will be appreciated. Their drop off location is almost impossible to maneuver around anyway if you are even able to locate it.
Here is what they advertise on their website:
With Your Help, We've Diverted More Than 34 Million Pounds from Local Landfills to Help Achieve Zero Waste

Warning - they charge a donation without asking when you check out. Paid in cash. Not going here again. I would go to Salvation Army ssf or goodwill Daly City.

Walked in with bags full of clothing to donate at 6p only to be told they don't take donations past 2p. What difference does it make? Really lame.

Bait and switchI've gone to this location 3 times now, every time I bring an item to the register, they charge me a different price than the price tag ON THE ITEM!?! Much more. When I question it, I get all kinds of excuses, and I'm told this is now the price, take it or leave it.Yes, it donated items and they are discounted (usually) but there is also wear and tear, if I wanted to pay retail prices, I would go to a retail store....I'm tired of being treated poorly at this local, I won't be going back.

THEY HIDE THE DAMAGE WITH THE TAG/STICKER11/01/2014, I was passing by, I stopped and I got this table. That was for 14.99. It was sitting in my van. Today I decided to take it inside and I found out that they hide the damage underneath the sticker. Be careful when buying from them. First and last time buying from them.

Can it be any more difficult to donate something? You go there, the employee tells you you can donate your items and tells you to go back street. Yo do that, and see a sign stating that they do not accept donations today but you should come back tomorrow. Then you see an employee right there, and ask if they can accept your donation now. And he tells you "Not today, not tomorrow, come on Tuesday."People's time is much more valuable than you think. If I were to come back tomorrow just by looking at that sign, I was going to be denied again. It is ridiculous that I would have to drive here three times to be able to give something for FREE! Not to mention that they sell it for ridiculous prices and that's how Goodwill makes 5 Billion Dollars I guess.

NOT a donation center. This phrase should be removed from the store name.

I cannot say enough nice things about the new store manager Nicole. I was there earlier this morning, and found my mothers place settings of China, ask if she had any more in the back, she was kind enough to look, and I was able to surprise my mother with 6 More New Pl. settings to her China. Denise is absolutely awesome. Highly recommend this thrift store.

Satan himself must have hired the people who work here. I drive around for 10 minutes trying to find where they take donations, to no avail. So I go inside. It's like 2:13pm. They will NOT let me donate. Here I have freshly dry cleaned nice items and I'm literally crying in their lobby because I spent 40 minutes driving here from where I live, got into an accident, and just want to be able to donate these nice clean items and they still are just like. Absolutely no. What kind of philosophy do these people subscribe to? You have someone who wants to finish this donation trip that they made this much effort for on a weekend so badly they're literally crying and you absolutely refuse to help them because it's ~15 minutes past your completely arbitrary cut off time?? They do not care about their own community whatsoever.

Other locations have color tag based sales every day of the week. This one has nothing.
