TLDR: A highly recommended Mandarin Immersion Pre-school. Fairly priced. Caring teachers.Today was our sons last day at Genius Learning and our son loved every minute of his time at Genius Learning.My family's experience with Genius Learning has been nothing short of exceptional. Over the course of two years, our son thrived in this nurturing environment. After touring 20 schools, we chose Genius Learning primarily because of the outstanding Head Teacher, Heidi, who guided us through the curriculum with great care.What sets this school apart is its reasonable pricing, full day (8am - 6pm), freshly cooked lunch and snacks are provided, and a limited number of school holidays. We were delighted that our son not only had the opportunity to really improve his fluency in Mandarin but also benefited from a strong academic program.Our son's happiness, educational growth, and the friendships he developed at Genius Learning were truly remarkable. The fact that we willingly drove from San Francisco every day speaks volumes about our confidence in the school. A heartfelt thank you to all the dedicated teachers who made our son's experience so wonderful.

We're so glad we ended up at Genius Learning. We enrolled our daughter when she was 3.5 and she did not speak or understand any Mandarin. It's been about two years and now, she can recite many poems and songs in Mandarin. The school is clean, organized, bright, and happy. Our daughter enjoys the many creative art projects and has made many friends. Thanks Genius Learning for taking care of and teaching our daughter, especially during the challenging COVID period!

I enrolled my son and daughter at Genius Learning at the beginning of 2022. I'm happy to find such a good school to help my kids for the transition from home (due to COVID) to preschool. All the teachers are very friendly and caring, especially Teacher Heidi. My kids are happy to go to school every day. The Mandarin immersion program is wonderful, and my kids have learned a great amount of Mandarin. Thanks, Teacher Anna for teaching the kids so many good Mandarin songs. I would recommend Genius Learning for parents who're looking for a good preschool! :)

We enrolled our child at Genius Learning for preschool and have been very happy with our decision. The Mandarin immersion program is great and we have noticed that our child has picked up a large amount of Mandarin even though we do not speak Mandarin at home. English has also improved with learning all the ABCs, reading some words, and practicing his penmanship. Our child has also learned to count and do some simple addition. He also enjoys all the art projects that he does at school and he is always excited to show us the artwork he has created at Genius Learning. He has made many friends at school and tells us about his friends every day. Overall Genius Learning has been a positive experience for our child for both academics and socialization.

This school has a good program where kids can learn Mandarin and English. My kid likes this school and has learned quite a bit of Mandarin. The teachers are also friendly!

My son was in Genius Learning from 2-5 years old, it was a great and safe place for my son to grow , play, and learn. The owner Heidi is also a teacher there who is very responsible and communicating well with parents about kids development periodically. They also helped my son’s potty training patiently since he was a bit behind. All the teachers are friendly and professional.

Long overdue review. My husband and came to visit Genius Learning (GL) shortly after it took over the space from Urban Sprouts. On our first visit, my son responded very positively to Teacher Heidi and was a good sign that he was comfortable with her. After visiting a few children daycare, we decided on GL. My son started attending GL in September 2019. Although he stayed home for a few months during the pandemic while the school stayed opened for essential workers, Teacher Heidi was very nurturing and helped my son reacclimate with the school. My son had an amazing experience and made some wonderful friends through school. Though he's graduated from preschool, he still remains in touch with his classmates. He has met two of his best friends from the school. Hope they will stay good friends for a long time. Thanks teacher Heidi for providing such a positive experience for my son during his formative years.

I was so lucky to have found Genius Learning for both my daughters and have been really happy with the school! A couple of things I love:- Lunch is provided everyday- The kids learn multiple things a day, such as mandarin, singing, art, writing, reading (even ABC sign language, which I didn't even know they taught that until one day my four year old daughter was showing us and she said she learned it from school). Even before the pandemic they learned simple cooking, which I thought was such a great idea!- All the teachers are so nice, especially the Director Heidi. She is super responsive, so wonderful with the kids, only wants the best for the kids, and does so much for the school! Teacher Coco even does my daughters' hair when it is messy, which I really appreciated because they both have long hair!I've gone to one immersion preschool in San Mateo and love Genius Learning a lot more! I felt like my kids learned more and enjoyed the activities more here. Thank you Genius Learning for providing such an inclusive and heart warming experience for my daughters. They have gained friends along the way and look forward to school every day (which is amazing)!

Genius Learning was recommended by a few of my sister's friends who also enrolled their kids in the same preschool. With all of the positive referrals, I was excited to send my daughter there but also apprehensive that my daughter who is very shy might struggle a bit to cope with the new environment. The director of the school, Teacher Heidi along with other teachers at the school, are really friendly and passionate about providing the fun and safe environment for the kids to learn and play. They teach songs and poems to make it fun for the kids to learn Chinese. My daughter always comes home to sing us the songs she's learned from school and even teaches us all of the dance moves to the songs. (I can now sing all of the songs and rehearse all of the poems too!) Aside from that, I noticed that my daughter has learned and remembered quite a lot of simple Chinese characters! She has also learned a lot of fine motor skills like cutting papers, which she didn't know how to before attending preschool. In addition, Genius Learning makes it so easy for busy working parents like me! They provide hot lunches and healthy snacks so I won't have to prep them everyday! I'm sad that my daughter will be going to TK soon and will have to leave this amazing school and teachers. But luckily, I have another younger daughter that I can also send to Genius Learning! Thank you Teacher Heidi for everything! We can't be happier to have picked your school for my daughter's first schooling days! Thank you!!!

We went to a couple day care centers and pre-schools and we like Genius Learning the most for its mandarin immersion environment, light flooded classrooms, large outdoor play area, flat fee for all students (include diaper changes)and hot lunch everyday. My son (2.5 years old) loves going to Genius Learning starting day 1. We see improvements in speaking and self discipline. The staff is very caring and experienced in taking care young children. I highly recommend Genius Learning to parents who are looking for mandarin immersion preschool.

Genius Learning provides a very healthy environment for children. When we toured the center, the first thing that stood out to us was how clean the place was. The children get outside to play at least twice a day. They have a curriculum/teachings incorporated into their daily schedule in addition to the many activities. They also offer nutritious breakfast and lunch. This place is passionate about caring for children the right way. My kid loves the staff. Thank you Genius Learning!

My kid was a transferred student to Genius Learning and I was a bit worry about the transition. However, she loves it from the beginning and has made so many great friends. She particularly loves Ms.Heidi, who is very passionate about teaching and caring for her students. My kid is in good hand and I will be excited to send my soon to be two years old to Genius Learning. Thank you Ms. Heidi and everyone at Genius Learning for providing quality and nursing care for my daughter. It's a bonus that she is also learning Chinese and getting exposure to the culture. I would recommend Genius Learning to all my friends and family.

Little Garden Chinese Preschool is actually one of the best preschools I’ve had the pleasure of sending one of my children to. My daughter, besides gaining social skills and learning to interact with others, also learned another language through songs and play. She enjoyed her friends and her teachers very much. The teachers, especially Heidi, are very welcoming. They treat the kids with respect and kindness. Heidi also sends you pictures of What your child is doing at school just to keep you in the loop. I like that a lot. This school is definitely worth the money.

I have 2 kids (5 and 4) and both go to Little Garden Chinese Preschool. Before preschool, both my kids were, in terms of development, difficult, to say the least.My daughter, at the beginning, was quite shy and behind in her language. Now I believe she has caught up in her language, as she's not only fluent in English, she's picked up a lot of Chinese words, through songs and playing. Her favorite activity at home now is playing teacher, teaching her parents and her brother of many things that she has learned at school.My son, on the other hand, was extremely energetic, talkative, playful and disobedient. Before preschool, he was essentially uncontrollable. Now he's much calmer, he talks before he grabs, he plays well with others and he can eat by himself. From preschool, he has picked up a lot of social skills as well as many good manners.So over 1.5-2 years, both my kids have matured a lot. And for that, I have the teachers at the preschool, especially Heidi, to thank for. Over the years, Heidi has been in constant contact with us about our kids' behavior. She told us about good behaviors so that we can encourage more. On bad ones, she helps us strategize how to guide the kids back on the right track.She essentially taught us clueless parents how to get the best out of our kids. I'd say without her guidance, our kids wouldn't be where they are today.As a parent, nothing in the world makes me happier than seeing both my kids on the right track to become better human beings. So in Heidi, we have a life-long friend who would forever play the special role as the first ever teacher to both our kids.
