1. Lack of communication regarding child incidents and health issues: The facility fails to notify parents when a child gets hurt, providing no details on the incident. Additionally, they display incompetence in handling minor child health issues. Ms. Jasmine, who is not even my child's assigned teacher, randomly asked me to not send my child the next day, citing frequent diaper changes and labeling it as diarrhea. No such communication was made during the day, resulting in last-minute absences at work while the child was healthy. When reported to Ms. Jackie, she demanded a doctor's note although child has no diarrhea or other symptoms. This lack of communication and proper handling of incidents and health issues is concerning.2. Unprofessional behavior of staff members: Ms. Jackie, the director, displayed unprofessionalism by neglecting concerns and preventing reporting to senior authorities. Another staff member, Ms. Jasmine, exhibited rude behavior towards children and parents, including shouting at them on multiple occasions. Ms. Jasmine even denied entry to a full-time enrolled student and refused to communicate with a supervisor.3. False claims about teacher-student ratio: The facility advertised a teacher-student ratio of 2:12 in the toddler class. However, during visits, it became evident that they combined two classes, resulting in more than 24 children without sufficient teachers (1 teacher as per pics on over 24 kids). This contradicts their stated ratio.4. Dishonesty regarding potty training: The facility claimed they do not charge extra for potty training. However, they delayed training the reviewer's child from February to November. When questioned about the child's severe diaper rashes, the teachers and Ms. Jackie provided false information, stating that they were actively training the child while refusing to implement the parent's suggestions.5. Neglecting student health and comfort: In December, videos were shared showing teachers wearing jackets while children were not adequately dressed, despite the presence of a room fan in cold temperatures.6. Lack of support for vegetarian or vegan children: The facility not only failed to promptly provide monthly food menus as promised, but the director, Ms. Jackie, provided an incorrect menu from another institute. When confronted, she responded rudely, blaming the wrong menu on the parent's continued persuasion.7. Unreliable annual holiday calendar: Parents cannot rely on the annual holiday calendar provided by the institute. Ms. Jackie frequently opts to call off random days or declare half-days without prior notice. When questioned about these changes, she conveniently claims to have forgotten to mention them in the annual calendar. This inconsistency and lack of reliability cause inconvenience and disruption to parents.Given these significant concerns, I decided to switch to another childcare facility. Within just one month at the new facility, my child showed remarkable progress in potty training and overall development. In conclusion, the childcare facility's lack of communication regarding incidents and health issues, unprofessional behavior of staff members, false claims about ratios, dishonesty regarding potty training, neglect of student health and comfort, lack of support for vegetarian or vegan children, and unreliable annual holiday calendar have had a detrimental impact on the child's well-being and development during their enrollment.

Why are there only 3 pictures posted in the last 6 years and only one review. I find that odd that not a single parent in 6 years has reviewed this school. Just this one. All the other franchise locations are recent.

I sent my child here through care.com's backup care program. The day of the first drop off, they took my paperwork and child and basically had no interaction with me other than where to write my son's name on the log. They didn't ask about my child's specific needs or any tips for his care. I doubt his teacher read his large stack of paperwork before they started his care. My son usually is quick to tell us about all of his meals and when we asked him what he ate at school he said "nothing" and was ravenous when he came home. We were concerned and when we picked him up the next day and asked how he was and how he ate, the lady at the door shrugged and said he was not in her class. We tried calling the office to see how he was and never got past a voicemail. My son seemed to be fine and doesn't appear injured in any way, but I would never know if there was an incident because THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION other than hello and goodbye at the door.

Excellent, I just enrolled my son and I am very satisfied so far. They are great. They provide updates through the App which is great. They are very responsive when you have something to discuss or ask.

Our son went to Building Kidz SSF from age 11-18 months and we were super happy with our experience. From day 1 the teachers all knew our baby by name and seemed to really care. Our boy would go happily into day care every single day, no tears, and in fact would excitedly say their names in happy anticipation when getting ready in the morning. I loved the app they use for keeping us in the loop every day on what he was up to/ how his meals and naps went - the messaging function was a really quick and easy way to communicate with staff. COVID protocols have adapted over the months, and have helped us feel safe sending our baby there. Overall we have been so glad we chose Building Kidz SSF and highly recommend to to anyone looking for care. We are so sad we have moved away and lost this great local resource!

Leaving your baby in the hands of anyone besides your own parents, well... we haven't even done that yet, but we will Mom I promise!! They have provided great care to our 6 month old and to us by always responding to our questions through their app and keeping us informed on when he's sleeping/ eating/ and pooping , which makes us feel that we are actually there! Can't be any happier with them and their service! Strict COVID precautions are also nice to see. Temperature checks, masks for all providers... I feel safe leaving my most prized possession with them!

My daughter attended Building Kidz of South San Francisco from when she was 7 months old until just a couple of weeks ago, she's now 2.5 years old. Both my husband and I work full time so to find a daycare/preschool that we could trust our children with was a huge win for us. We would have continued to keep them at this school, however, we just moved to San Carlos. We actually transferred my son to the Building Kidz San Mateo location because of our positive experience. Thank you to the entire staff at SSF for making our daughter and son's time there so wonderful.

My daughter loves coming here. They do so much for the kids and Teacher Anna Sheafe is great! She really makes the effort to keep her students clean and tidy, I can tell because whenever I pick up my daughter, she is just the way I left her. Most places let the kids get dirty and run around with their hair all over their faces and covered in snots, they have their jackets on at a 80 degrees weather, not here! Its the little "mommy" things that matter and teacher Anna makes sure your kids are taken care of. Its a good home, away from home for your little preschooler. I am happy my daughter is with teacher Anna.

We love our pre school. The teachers are caring and the facilities are great. When we pick our toddler up at the end of the day he wants to stay so we know he's happy. They also use an app to update you about your child. Very fancy!
