They are very organized and kind here. I have had to bring my dog in for urgent care several times over the last two years and even during covid the vets and techs were attentive. You do have to wait if you have a routine appointment and someone's else's pet has a medical emergency but that's pretty normal with a vet that specializes in emergency pet care. I'm going to try to switch to use TLC for my dog's regular check-ups as I like them more than my other vet.

I had to take my recent rescue in as they suspected he had aspiration pneumonia from eating litter pellets. For I was lucky that vca gateway called and got us transferred and seen right away. My little guy had ringworm as well. He was kept overnight for treatment. The vet was very kind. I knocked off one star as I found the vet tech with tattoos incredibly condescending and rude. Everyone else was kind.

I'm writing this review as I wait for my 12 year old chihuahua to be handed back to us. My chihuahua has been bleeding from his penis for a couple of days on and off, and I had made an appt with his vet. Sadly that appointment was way far in the future. He continued bleeding today and I needed to bring him in, I couldn't wait for the appointment. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and gentle with my dog (he normally is a nervous wreck and dislikes strangers), and he handled it well. The consultation fee during ER hours was $105. Thankfully my dog didn't have anything serious, just a cut on the tip of his penis. The doctor went through his aftercare and let us know that he should be okay. The total cost for the consultation, medication, and physical? $181. Extremely affordable. Great service. We're super pleased and are actually going to look into changing vets because our old vet is a grump and super rude. Thank you for taking such good care of our senior dog.

Have taken such good care of both our cats. For routine check ups or emergencies I wouldn't choose anyone else. They're super understanding, kind, and thorough caregivers. Love these folks!

This place is awesome! I took my dog in for a wellness exam because I just adopted her. When I arrived everyone were really friendly and they helped me right away, they also took their time and answered all of my questions. Matt and Josh were both super helpful and they guided me through the process.

Be very wary of this hospital. I regret having gone here. It was July 4th and my senior cat needed emergency treatment. The treatment required a sedated grooming which they performed. He came home COVERED in scabs in the area they groomed. I was advised by another vet (not from this hospital) that sometimes it happens when the tech is careless or grooming tools old. The doctor's notes made no mention of the fact they had hurt my cat. I was going to just let it heal and hope for the best. But 2 weeks later 2 of the areas turned into abscesses because they probably hadn't even been disinfected. So another emergency visit (to a different hospital), a surgery, multiple follow ups, 2 weeks on very strong antibiotics with the resulting stomach distress (that even now is not resolved), total stress and huge additional expenses (over $2000) later, the VCA TLC hospital manager is offering to refund me $139 from my original visit cost (approx $500). This is after their doctor, Dr. Wong, apologized for their mistakes treating my cat and the problems caused and offered compensation (they even sent me a photo documenting the lacerations later treated by second hospital). That the hospital manager Carmen now has the nerve to deny their responsibility and offer $139 is a complete joke. I am only making this public now because I sincerely hope other people do not go through what we went through. If we had gone to a more competent hospital to start with all of the additional trouble, stress (trauma for the cat who is too old to be going through this) and expense could have been spared. Just keep looking and don't settle for this place because it seems convenient.

First visit for my cat since the pandemic. Drop off & pick up service. Vet called promptly & gave report. E payment. Tech Josh helpful with handouts and getting prescription. Not inexpensive but efficient.

My dog, Phineas, and I received such a warm welcome from the entire staff especially Rudy and Dr Pickell. Special care was taken with our 13-year-old poodle mix who has great anxiety. I've never had a physician take so much time and care with my dog. I am 100% confident that Phineas is in the best hands for his golden years!

The quality of care is very good here at VCA, but the time it takes to see and treat a dog is much longer than it used to be. This is apparently a function of pandemic-related hiring problems. We wouldn't take our dog elsewhere, but three-plus hours for ear cleaning and an exam is a long time. We look forward to the time when they can restore their former prompt level of service

Took our cat Charlie to send her over the rainbow and we had to wait 30 min in the waiting area and an hour and a half in the exam room... Practically no customer service after we told the receptionist that we had already been waiting nearly... added stress to a very stressful time!

I've had very good experiences here! My dog always gets great care and is treated kindly and fairly by staff. He is a 90lb pit mix that wears a muzzle in public and looks very scary, but he loves the staff and they seem to enjoy him as well. I understand that vet care is rarely cheap, but I feel the prices are reasonable and they always give options for your budget. My first time there was an emergency because my dog busted through a window and sliced his chest open. I was kind of in shock at how chill everyone was about it and how easily they took him back, stapled him up, and sent him home, all for shockingly cheap. After that experience I was completely converted and they became his regular vet. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that sometimes things can't take a while, and the waiting room can be chaotic, especially with reactive dogs (I usually just leave mine in the car because of this). There is an opportunity for improving the management of the flow of animals and preventing accidental interaction for the safety of all.

Took great care of our loved one. Had a spot on his eye we were concerned about. Took him in on a Saturday and expected a long day of waiting for the call with the results. Dr Olsen said it was a little discoloration due to age and just to keep our eye on it. He is healthy and sweet. We raced back and picked Leo and Dr Olsen made us feel good. We will be back!

The best Emergency service I never have. My dog which is 120 bl Rottweiler had a wound opened up and started bleeding everywhere at very early morning 7:00 am and it's really piss me off. I don't know where I can call and where I can go. And Find VCA Pasadena. They take really good care of my dog. Thank you again
