i have been going to Rainbow Jewelers for 20 yrs. Tom has the best estate pieces that I had ever seen at a reasonable price. I love estate pieces esp ones that are really unusual. i stop by there very often just to take a peek he's also so good at making repairs that you couldn't even tell were touched. Tom just reset a very old ring of mine, correcting the issues cleaning it up and making it look like a Million bucks !. He set my 2 carat diamond back into the ring and it looks amazing. I will not go anywhere else He's honest, is an expert at making jewelry and can make anything you want. Linda

After reading the negative experiences here now, I see that I'm not the only one. This happened yesterday. The tiny clasp ring had separated from the clasp but not detached. The ring is made like a key ring and I could have reattached it myself with a tweezers and magnifying glass. Did not seem that challenging. But here's how my exchange with this jeweler snob went: He: I don't do this kind of work. The whole necklace has to be restrung and it will cost you about $60. Me: But see this clasp? It looks like you could reattach it. He: I only work on silver and gold. (Okay. Fine. But you will NEVER ever work on MY silver or gold when it needs to be repaired!)

Boy, what a disappointment. I read some Yelp reviews that this was a good place for jewelry repair, but it's not. I took in a 14K gold bracelet that I inherited from a good friend who died last month. It was an old piece and a couple links in the rope chair were very thin and on the verge of breaking. I told Tom to please insert a couple very small gold jump rings so that if the links give out, the jump rings will hold it together. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I didn't care if the jump rings looked a little funky. When I picked up the bracelet, Tom explained that instead of doing what I asked, he had cut the rope bracelet in two places, inserted a section of gold rope that does not match the rope in the bracelet, and where he welded it, about 1/3" of the bracelet is now stiff and does not bend like rope chain should. And he charged me $50 for it, to boot. I'll never use this place again. Tom didn't do what I asked him to do and he did a bad job of repairing this sentimental piece. Now I don't even want to wear it, it looks so bad. Very disappointing. Beware! Don't take your heirlooms or family jewelry here for repair. It's likely to get ruined.

I was referred to Tom at Rainbow Jewelry to create a custom piece for my daughter's 21st birthday. I was really nervous because I was using diamonds from my grandmother's wedding ring to create a necklace for my daughter and I wasn't really sure about the design.Tom walked me through my options and what might looks nice with the diamonds I had available. We came up with something really pretty and really classic - something that would be timeless through the years. I'm so happy I decided to work with Tom! What a great choice!

DO NOT GO HERE! If you are looking to fix your watch look somewhere else. The customer service was bad and they were rude over the phone. I asked for an estimate to replace my battery on my watch. I took it in and they gave me another estimate. They demanded I pay or I will not get my watch back. This place is ridiculous and they customer service sucks. I would rather go somewhere else, where customer service is great. Avoid this place and just keep looking.

Last Friday I walked into the rainbow jewelry with a broken gold bracelet. Spoke to Tom for 5 minutes he said come back on Monday and your item will be ready. So today I picked up my bracelet and it is now cleaner and has a brand new clasp. Thank you Rainbow Jewelry.... you guys are awesome.

Made my engagement and wedding band for me and my husband. Talk about stunning. Perfection. The owner is a perfectionist and it really shows in his work. And super reasonable. You may not find what you are probably looking for in the shop itself, where they really shine is in their custom work. Would never trust anyone else with my jewelry. Thank you for making my dream ring(s)!

"This is a dream come true"--my soon-to-be wife, looking at our wedding ring set. Worth every penny, Tom is a master of his craft. He's a straight shooter, professional, and a class act. I'm honored to have given Tom my business.

This place won't win any hipster awards by outward appearances, but you just mind find something pretty hip among their estate jewelry offerings. A no-BS shop with reasonable prices. My wife bought a small diamond solitaire for $100. The lady behind the counter was very nice and gracious (called my wife "honey") and offered to size and buff any ring for no charge.
