Waited for several minutes at the paint counter, no-one ever came by, even though someone was there when I picked up the chip for the color I needed. Other employees milled around nearby and chatted with each other. Needed Benjamin Moore Advance but had no choice but to head to Home Depot where they were able to paint match. Done there in the amount of time I waited for someone to appear (but never did) at Ace. Hard to believe Home Depot has my local hardware store beat for attentiveness and care?

My wife and I often shop at Ace Hardeare to get things for house and also for the garden and many things. This location use be Orchards it like a Ace they everything before they changed names to Orachatds.

The store is always clean and well stocked that's the only good thing to say about the store. The staff is very rude and confrontational (not everyone). I brought something back and stated that I was missing a part. Right off the bat he told me it was in the package and I must have discarded it.Does ACE train their staff to be rude and absolutely no customer service skills.I worked in customer service and understand how important it is to retain customers. Reading the other comments, I guess I'm not the only one that feels this way. This is not the first time I've experienced this, I rarely go into the store only when I have too.

Absolutely garbabe customer service!Called multiple times only to be put on hold for over 10 min. even called from 2 lines at once and they have no problem picking up initially but will leave you on hold until you hang up. And you could hear them pick up the phone every now and then just to put you back on hold.

Great store, has literally anything and everything. HOWEVER! The staff has become very unpleasant! Especially the old white guy that checks you out at the counter. Wish I got his name. So rude and not professional. Told that he's gotten many compliments, with that being said the issue still isn't fixed? Take him off of the floor and put him in the back stocking. He can't be with customers with that attitude and unprofessionalism. It's people with attitudes like that, that harm the company and give it a bad name.

I purchased a high end Traeger grill from Ace Hardware in South Pasadena. I purchased on a Thursday and was told it was going to be built on the weekend and the delivery was going to be scheduled after it was built. I called this morning (Tuesday) and was told person didn't come in over the weekend. The rep was unapologetic and didn't make any commitment about a time frame. Very disappointing.Update: I talked to manager today and promises they will build the barbecue tomorrow and deliver on Friday. He was much more service friendly and attentive than his staff.

All hail Evelyn. The app was wonky and changed delivery dates. The other staff are all on and off during the week and have me bad information. She was on top of it. Remember. Independently owned and operated. So complaining to headquarters is useless.

On October 16, 2023 I went to the Ace Hardware in South Pasadena to return a bug spray because it would not spray properlyWhen i told the man at the return counter said to me "it's not my problem." I said "what? He repeated it. I told him that he rude. He was confrontational now stepping closer to me saying "what did you say? I said you're rude. He said "it was a joke. Can't you take a joke?" he was disrespectful, unprofessional, and rude.I informed corporate. They spoke to him and told me that the employee was only kidding. I guess this is the type of service this hardware store.stands by. ACR hardware stands by the policy of allowing employees to conduct that I'll behavior. I will bring my business to True Value now.

The store is great.HOWEVER, at night their generator in the garden center makes an extremely loud, high-pitched noise akin to ringing in tinnitus.I live in an apartment unit that is adjacent to Ace-- their generator that keeps ringing is making me unable to sleep, as they leave it on to beep from 12AM til they open.

When I can’t find it at the big box store this is my go to for hard to find hardware items. Helpful staff who will assist you to find what you need. That being said, it is quite pricey so plan to pay 20-30 percent more for your shopping experience. Love that it’s not a warehouse, but a retail store geared for customer service. Not just a hardware store, they also have pet, patio and garden items.

This place is a huge ACE Hardware. Super clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I bought a giant Craftsman tool chest. The guys loaded it in my truck with no problems. So the strange thing was, it was $100 more in store than online. Never sure why that is. He told me just buy it online, get the good price and he'll get the tool chest ready for loading. I did that, got the good price and everything went smoothly. Great job.
