Great service, especially compared to the Glendale unit I was at before and there was resistance to seeking solutions from the employee there. At the South Pasadena location, Justin was very polite, attentive and efficient in helping me with my purchase.

Store sold me a scratched garden shovel that looked used. I took it back for a refund. Store has a lazy attitude. The manager used to be different when I went there long ago.

I recently purchased a gallon of paint at the ace location in Van Nuys . I order the paint online color specific and did a drive up pick up. When I got home I noticed the paint was not mixed . I decided to visit the pasadena store to see if they could help me either mix the paint or exchange it but to my surprise they could not do either. I was told that since they are not affiliated with the ace van nuys that I would have to return to that store . Typically I would not have had a problem returning to.the van nuys location since I work in that city but I was not going yo be in that area for the next 2 days. I had to purchase another gallon of paint in order to complete my project that day. I was also told I would not be receiving the discount I received on the other paint that I was going to have to take back to.the van nuys location. Extremely poor customer service. I will not be returning yo this ace location. Shame on you for treating your customers this way.

Went in on a weekday to buy some wire strippers, which I found locked up. Tried to find someone to unlock them and even called the store to get help. Waited for 10+ minutes and got no help. Left and went to Home Depot on Marengo and found the same wire strippers, unlocked and for about $5 less.

Do not take your knives here to get sharpened. I’ve never seen a sharpening job done this poorly. The store is too far away from me to go back and demand a refund but maybe I’ll make the trip back. This is unacceptable, I’m afraid my knives are ruined. I didn’t get his name, but the person who sharpened my knives was a man with medium length white hair. Don’t let this store touch your knives, go elsewhere. I’m extremely disappointed and angry.

2024-04-29 Update
After not finding any eggplant or ivy geraniums plants at Home Depot in Alhambra, was able to find them here. $3 for the eggplants and bout $4 for the Ivy Geraniums.
Came here last week because I couldn't get any of the flowers I was looking for at Home Depot in Alhambra. Found everything I wanted here which was mainly impatiens and even found some arugula plants which they also didn't have at Home Depot. A litlle more pricey than Home Depot but last week, they had all the plants I was looking for. Always like coming here, so much easier to get parking and can get in and out pretty quick.

The store was as one would expect of an Ace hardware. The staff was relatively helpful & polite. This one though, had the chain I was looking for in the proper weight & gauges.
