I just ... After working with multiple trainers and passing off their philosophy of a "citronella" method - it was unanimous that this kind of behavior modification is inhumane. As my Scottish trainer said, "It's shiate!" As a non-trainer, I can say that it defies even common sense. First of all, dogs sense of smell is off the charts compared to a humans. Over 200 million receptors kinda of-the-charts. If a dog has a reactive behavior issue AND YOU SPRAY IT WITH A HIGHLY STRONG SMELL, ASSUMING THE BEHAVIOR STOPS IN THE MOMENT - THE SMELL CONTINUES UNTIL YOU PICK THEM UP FROM THE FACILITY, BRING THEM HOME, AND BATHE THEM. Do they spray it then bath them? No. So its a continuous punishment. To the dog, no lesson is learned except your dog will pull away furiously when you try to come back to the place for daycare because they broke its trust and its traumatized. My other dogs NEVER did this with a trainer or daycare facility. I don't give a flying F$?k how many dog this person has "trained." The method is sh*+. Visit the place and see for yourself. It's easy to catch the vibe when you walk in and I just ignored it.

David and Obedience Please really helped me and my wife with our rescue dog, Moose (a chihuahua and jack russel mix). We picked up Moose from a local humane society and had no real problems initially. About a year into having Moose, he started to show some signs of aggression towards strangers and general disobedience towards my wife and me. We signed Moose up for the hybrid boarding and training where he stayed with Obedience Please M-F and came home on the weekend. Moose definitely put David and the rest of the crew through their paces, but in the end has really turned a new leaf. Guests and family members have noticed the change and how friendly and obedient Moose is now. I can’t recommend enough!

I enlisted the services of Obedience Please Dog Training a few weeks ago to facilitate the training of my dog as a service animal. Under the guidance of Howard and his proficient team, notably Trainer David, I experienced a commendable level of professionalism and focus. The facility itself was impressive, and my dog not only enjoyed his time there but also emerged as an exemplary service animal. The trainers exhibited kindness and a high level of expertise in their field, contributing to a positive and effective training environment. For those seeking top-notch dog training services, I highly recommend Obedience Please Dog Training for its commitment to excellence.

I have been taking my dog here for years and have been exceptionally happy with their attention and care. They remember me and my dog by sight and my dog LOVES going there (she pulls like crazy to get in). I would recommend them to anyone.

A wonderful, family run business. What I appreciated the most is how dedicated everyone is to helping your dog. This is a place run by people who really care about animals and who go above and beyond to ensure your fur baby makes progress in an ethical and caring way. They are willing to put the time in and they are so patient. This is my first puppy (I’ve always adopted older dogs) and I would recommend them to anyone seeking help with dog training.

Howard and Greta's dedication, along with their highly effective dog training methods, have unquestionably surpassed both my wife's and my expectations. We have successfully trained our puppy without using treats. We've utilized their services for dog boarding, kennel dog training, and in-home dog training. Thanks to their expert guidance (over 60 years experience), we transitioned from contemplating surrendering our rescue puppy to enjoying the company of a well-behaved and delightful puppy.

I was referred to Howard after my Vizsla puppy had me feeling like possibly rehoming her may be the only option. Prior to working with Howard I had no success with 2 other trainers, and she was now acting out and getting aggressive with my son. Howard was able to eliminate her aggressive behavior within the first session. We continued on with Howard and at this point have her trained both on and off leash. She responds to love and affection rather than treats which is reassuring as I know I have full control of any situation with her, even if I don't happen to have treats on me. Thank you Howard for being reasonably priced, honest, and so accommodating of our many questions we had along the way!

I would like to take a moment to say that I have been very happy with my experience for my dog. She was an extremely shy puppy who the owner Howard was training at our home. He clearly has a gift with animals. He started with her at 9 weeks old and had her responding to commands correctly on the first day. Also important is that he trains treat free. My dog follows commands without any need for bribery, just praise. When she reached 5 months I started taking her in once a week for a daycare experience. She was the shy little girl in the corner at first but very quickly socialized to the others pups. Now she is ecstatic each day we go there and can’t wait to get there.I saw some reviews in which people complained about lack of water. Obviously they can not hydrate all the dogs, on demand , all day long or they would be cleaning the floors nonstop from mishaps. They have a hydration schedule and I bring some extra water with me when I pick her up. It is not a big deal.My review is highly influenced by my pup’s happiness to be there, her disappointment when leaving, how much she loves Howard and the staff, and the knowledge that they genuinely care about the dogs.

I have been taking my dogs to Obedience Please for many years. Day care, boarding and training. I can't say enough good things about this place. The level of care and attention to my dogs' needs is unmatched. Thank you to all the people there who work tirelessly to provide love and care for my babies. When I'm away from home this is the only place I trust to provide the love and attention I would give my dogs myself. Howard, David and the rest of the crew- thank you! Thank you for making our dogs feel at home with you.

I have been going to Obedience Please for 20+ years. They have trained three of my dogs, successfully. I have used their boarding service for as long as 3 weeks at one time. I take my dog in to day care once/week to socialize. If you want people who like dogs, know about them and watch out for them, then this is the place. The owner, Howard Finkelstein, possesses years and years of experience and has top tier knowledge of dogs and dog training.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Obedience Please. They are super convenient, affordable, flexible, and have been exceptionally kind to our golden doodle. I wouldn’t know what to do without them!
