I brought my mother's car to Larry's Union Service for a comprehensive maintenance service a day later than I had originally booked over the phone, and despite their being busier that day, Larry and his staff were able to fit me in and finish the service on the same day. When I picked up the car, Larry informed me the tires needed to be replaced urgently, and he didn't care if it was at his shop (which doesn't have tires on hand, so he would've needed to order them) or another shop, but it was necessary for driver safety. Moreover, since they were still working on other cars, he didn't have time to finish writing up the invoice, so he let me take the car and called me the following week to process payment over the phone. I appreciated that he was more concerned about safety over up-selling additional services. We ended up replacing the tires at Costco, and the car has been running smoothly since. I highly recommend Larry, an honest and reliable mechanic, and his auto shop.

I was having trouble starting my car, so I came by on a Friday afternoon to get it fixed before the weekend. They were really backed up with customers, but they checked my battery and fixed me up right away. Staff were friendly and helpful. All I needed was a new battery, so I can't speak to what kind of service you might get for a more serious issue, but I would come back and find out.

Larry,This is Phillip J in S. PasI tried to call your office to reach you by leaving a message. There's a old Toyota Van with home made ramps parked at your place and doing stunts with skate boards at your parking lot. I called the s. Pas police. They told me they will not respond unless it's the call is from the property owner. Hope this message reach you by someone that has your cell phone number.

The Chrysler dealership told me that there were many oil leaks, and it was going to cost me about all most $4,000.00 I called Larry's union. I told him the dealer said I had an oil leak. He said drop the car off and we will check it out completely and let you know. I did and the following day he called, Larry said, everything on the car is good the only oil leak is the oil pan. It takes a lot of work to remove the pan. It will be about three days and the cost will be about $800.00 or $900.00 I told him let's do it. When I pick up the car it was $1.100.00 because I told him to service the car to. I check the car and they did a very good job and clean underneath. And saved me $3,000.00 Thank You Larry

On top of having no personality, Larry is a very dishonest mechanic, like so many others out there. I asked him to check my brakes because they sounded like they were worn out. He then quotes me $1300 in brake, rotors, calipers and labor. My truck isn't worth over $500 so I decided to just do away with it and not get the repairs done. He then says I owe him $58.00 for the inspection. Now I understand that a mechanic should be paid for their work. But most mechanics give me a quote on repairs without a charge. If they have an inspection that may be elaborate, and require an inspection charge, honest mechanics let me know BEFORE the inspection what that charge will be. Larry did not. I told him you may want to afford your customers that courtesy but he just looked at me and treated me like I was insane.

Larry and Dave (and the other young man whose name I don't know) are terrific! They NEVER up-sell the repairs. Reasonable, honest, fast and friendly. So lucky to have them in my 'hood.
