Fair Oaks Pharmacy is a family owned vintage corner shop and the oldest landmark in South Pasadena, established in 1915. It is an old school soda and ice cream shop with a fountain drink counter that makes all the good old things like delicious sodas, sundaes, milkshakes, banana splits, egg creams, and floats. The interior has a cute, old vintage look and an absolutely charming, original atmosphere like something from an old movie, complete with fun nostalgic toys, games, candy, and treats for sale. There is also a very cute little compounding pharmacy attached. The staff are incredibly friendly, energetic, and provide excellent customer service, with fantastic and knowledgeable management. The vibe is distinctively different and peaceful, a wonderful and addictive place to visit. It is a top tier spot to enjoy a treat and catch up. However, the kitchen is no longer operating, so everything is served in to-go cups, and it is not open on weekends anymore. There is also a last call for orders at 4:30 PM, though guests can browse the store until closing.
Absolutely fantastic manager He’s so knowledgeable and friendly. Sad that the kitchen is no longer operating and everything is served in to go cups . Not open on the weekends either anymore. But I guess if it wasn’t making a profit they can’t justify paying employees on weekends

My wife and I ALWAYS go there when we Date,it’s one of the places we’d go to just when started 36years ago!The Food,Ice Cream(Banana Split)And Service are “TOP TIER!”A WONDERFUL PLACE to Visit,it’s actually addictive….. lol
