Wyland Galleries always have a great selection of artists. This location may have changed spots, a few times since my last visit I'm told (it was 18-19 years ago) but I can always spend an afternoon seeing what new stuff Wyland has been up to.
However, these new pieces by Jim Warren literally stopped me in my tracks. Informative and opinionated staff are always willing to talk up each artist but sometimes you just look at a piece and nod. No words necessary! ?...?!

First piece of Tom Everhart art I bought was from Wyland, about a year ago, and had it shipped to TX. Didn’t know any better when received but I do now. Bought a second Everhart from a local Houston studio. The framing quality is night and day. Wyland basically glued four corners and pasted, so the middle looks floppy and sticking out from the corners. The frame itself was in poor quality too, see the pictures. The back of the frame wasn’t even aligned. Now that I see how art is supposed to be framed, I would never go back here.

Lovely gallery! The women working there were very knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions! It was very fun to look around at all the beautiful paintings and sculptures. I look forward to returning! Definitely a place to check out if you are an art lover!

Great collection of art with knowledgeable art consultants. They have art from Wayland but also several others. When we were there one of the artists was scheduled for a meet & greet, a regular weekend occurrence. In the Raleys shopping center this is worth a stop if you're coming to Lake Tahoe. We really enjoyed the art gallery vibe with no sales pressure. RECOMMENDED

Was NOT acknowledged! I walked in with my mother and was not greeted nor acknowledged. A saleswoman walked past us as we entered and did not even look at us. We proceeded in the gallery and the workers were chatting amounts themselves, and still both of us were not acknowledged by any of the staff. We were the only customers in the gallery. I work at a gallery in Honolulu and it wasn't until I started talking loud about a piece by the artist I work for and how I work there that we were then acknowledged. Even so, it did not seem like a genuine conversation more like trying to get information out of me. **I would NOT recommend going in unless you look like you have money or you would like to be profiled and not acknowledged at all**

The worst experience I've ever had in a art gallery, upon entering Lynn the clerk asked if we had ever been in one of Wyland locations after answering her with a yes. She focused on my sister was the rudest person i have ever encountered. I would never ever spend a penny in that gallery. I have been into other Wyland galleries and own his work. I'm not an idiot and refuse to be treated like a child this woman is condescending and RUDE!!! Why would anyone allow her to represent them.

Beautiful gallery with unique sculptures and paintings--some one of a kind. They also have the history of each piece.

Walking by and decided to stop in, shortly thereafter was greeted by Lloyd who was a very friendly guy and just started explaining some of the details of some of the art that we were looking at. A lot of yard galleries that I've gone to do not have anything unique and are way overpriced. Not the case here. High quality, unique pieces combined with woods very informative conversation made this short visit a highlight of my short visit to Tahoe this time around.
