This store's employees care about their commission and do not care about lying to you to get it.
You should know if you use their buyout program (for cellular) someone is obligated to stay with them for a year. If you have multiple lines on one plan. They say no contracts, but you would have to repay the money they spent on your buyout.
Also, if you get one of their 'sale' phones, you have a choice to pay the phone off right then and get the whole sale price and trade in, or they spread the discount over 36 months. And if you decide to pay the phone off early, you lose the discount from that day onward (the rest of the discount of the phone).
I was told that the discount comes off immediately by an employee who works there (and said he had for some time). That's not the case and he knew it. He lied. I have a hard time doing business with companies that are okay with being sleezy. The employee here will tell you all kinds of BS, so if you have a question you should contact customer service by phone. They will give you honest answers.
Super disappointed this place wasted so much of my time.

Spectrum really sucks!
Very poor and unpredictable cable Internet Connection!
Looking for an alternative cable solution.

We have been owners of property in Lake Tahoe for a couple of generations and my parents have lived full time in SLT for 25 years. They had AT&T mobile phone service and Dish TV, with AT&T DSL for internet. I have my own business and can work from anywhere, but their DSL is killer for Downloads, site loading and Zoom calls. I finally talked them into bundling this all with Spectrum. Went into the store with my mom and everyone in there was SO kind and fun. Way better than most people in these stores. I was shocked to see the poor ratings of this place, honestly. It’s super clean, people know their stuff and it’s very diverse. They got us all set up and scheduled the tech to come out and do the install. Everything is now set up and so so much better.

Horrible internet service, the worst customer service I have ever seen. If you can choose another internet provider, please do so. I have had this internet for less than a week and just to get the internet in my place was insanely difficult, I should see the red flags, but now I have to return it because it doesn't work, the modem or router is always down. Awful!!!!!!

We sold our house and I closed my account, unaware, five days after the start of the billing cycle. I received a notice from a credit collection service for $117.00. We had used them for over twenty years. I was told point blank that no consideration would be given, that they bill monthly.Not even an email notice.Yeah I paid the damn bill but I'm upset. We were treated like some lame ass slackers.THINK TWICE BEFORE USING THIS SERVICE, THEY WOULD MAKE SHYLOCK JEALOUS...

When the service works its fast. If you choose spectrum be reday for constant outages, bad tech support. I've had multiple issues using spectrum.

Customer service is awful. They're friendly when they're face to face with you, but are incompetent at leaving descriptions on the tech visit. I.E that the modem was faulty. Now we cant get refunded the $275 for three months because all they said in the report was that the issue was solved.
Horrible experiences with spectrum across the board. Our internet wasn't working in winter (turns out because they gave us a faulty modem model) they weren't able to diagnose it until winter had passed even though there were quite a few nice days. They shouldn't have even given us a model that was known to not work and they should have been able to see that we had that model type and just send us a new one or ask us to pick it up.
Keep having issues with the internet for weeks on end even though the house has strong connection lines and none of our neighbors have this issue.
They even rescheduled the appointment without letting us know so I've been waiting at the house for hours just to find out they moved it to tomorrow and I won't be available then.
Oh and the billing department transfered me over to internet repair saying they would be the ones that could credit my account because they don't have the notes. Internet repair told me that wasn't true and that billing does have the notes.
This company is completely aggrivating.

I just wanted to say that the staff, specifically Aimee J, are always so cheerful and helpful. Often a thankless job, they really try to make what is typically a frustrating experience manageable. Recommend going in person vs calling the corporate spectrum #s. Thank you to this Tahoe Spectrum crew for your help & good vibes!

I have been a spectrum home internet customer for 2 and a half years. Recently we decided to change our mobile service from t-mobile to spectrum mobile. So on Monday I went into the SLT store which is my local store. I encountered Lorenzo immediately. The first impression was that he was eager to help me with my issues. I told him I would be back later in the day with my family, so we could buy 2 new phones and carry over my current phone or possibly buy myself a new phone as well to their services. We came back to Lorenzo, who helped us again. And stated my phone would need to be paid off from t-mobile first but that my phone was compatible with spectrum service. So we ended up being at the store for 3 hours. We purchased 2 new phones and 3 phone lines since my phone. I would pay off at t-mobile the next day. He said perfect and assured me my phone was compatible. So I paid my phone off and came back the next day to Spectrum. I am expecting to walk out with amazing cell service. Like my family members all have had since we switched to spectrum the previous day. That was not my experience. I was helped by an amazing associate, Aimee. She worked for another 2 hours trying to figure out why I couldn't make or receive phone calls or text messages. Brandon and Dawson also came to help to see what was going on. Those 3 employees, Aimee, Dawson, and Brandon, are outstanding. They called their tech support and got on the issue. I ended up having to leave. Still without being able to call or text. But I was rest assured that they would figure it out for me. Aimee called me later that evening to give me an update. She asked if I would be willing to come back to the store the following day, which was a Wednesday. To see what else could be done. I came back in at about 10:40, and Dawson was their to help me. I wasn't even in the store for 5 minutes, and he was the IMEI is not compatible. Turns out that Lorenzo didn't even check to see if my IMEI on my t-mobile phone was compatible. He just looked at my model. Which is not how spectrum checks phone compatibility. So I paid off a phone that wasn't even able to transfer over. His lazy sales cutting ways cost me 8 hours of my work week and hundreds of dollars . When I could have just bought a new phone the very first day. His cutting corners to lie to me just to get a sale. That is not how you build customer relations. The way Dawson, Aimee, and Brandon stepped up to save the sale and to help me as a person and a customer was above and beyond. I will never ask for or talk to Lorenzo again. His ethics are unbelievably sneaky and just blatantly disgusting. Thank you, Dawson, Aimee, and Brandon, for all your patience and great customer service.

Amazing staff at this location! Calling the universal phone line was problematic for us and ended with an inaccurate request and timeline so we tried going to the store in person instead and we were very impressed! The employees here have the locals best interests in mind. Dawson in particular went above and beyond for us twice. Fixing our initial inaccurate order was uniquely difficult but his depth of knowledge in his role made it a seamless process. Thank you SLT Spectrum staff!

I live in Zephyr Cove (South Lake Tahoe), NV. Spectrum’s provision of service is an unmitigated disaster! My wireless is “down for maintenance” 3 to 4 times per week. I thank my personal God this is for my personal use and not a business, otherwise I’d be out of business. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE fix your service problems and make it one week without going down for maintenance.
