Great hidden gem!!! The bad reviews obviously seem bias. When I walked into there store I was greeted by both men working. Both guys were super chill and very kind. Everywhere I looked in this shop I found tons of great items. I also read that people said this store was expensive that wasn't the case. I found great items for cheap and so cool more expensive items. At the end of the day I found a shirt for $15 and had a great time in this shop

The owner sucks and needs to learn how to have respect for all walks of life, having a place of business in such a diverse community. There are plenty of better options for thrift shopping in the surrounding area. We went to this establishment and while in the store, the owner was glaring at us and accusing our teens of ruining products being sold and used intimidating tactics to try and get us to pay of already broken items. Even followed us out to the car demanding money. It was more sad than scary knowing this man is clearly struggling in life

Nice guy running the store, he told me only 1% of the items in the store are donated. The rest are things he goes out and picks. There are items priced low and high. A lot of collector items. Even bikes, clothes, kitchenware, jewelry, tools, clocks, furniture.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The owner was incredibly rude for no reason towards me when I asked him for the price of a few of the items in the cases. There was a white couple in the store with me and I felt that he was so much nicer and way more accommodating towards them. I don't want to say it was racially charged, but it honestly felt that way (I'm AAPI). I love supporting local shops, but I would strongly recommend that you do not give this business any money.Besides that, I should've read the reviews, because they're right; everything is overpriced. He prices things at retail price, which is obnoxious, since they're obviously used and are not special items (I would understand if it's a collectors/rare item).

We visited Lakeview thrift store on our lake Tahoe trip, and was not disappointed. We found some gems in the store! Coming from New England, we did not find the shops prices over priced at all. The antiques in the store were very fair price compared to what we are used to. Really cool motorcycle memorabilia too! We got to talk to the owner who was super nice and knowledgeable, and had some cool stories about some of the pieces in his shop. There was also a lot of antiques, which was a nice surprise. Lots of camping essentials too! Thanks for a nice visit!!

Despite the negative reviews I decided to give this place a chance when I was in town... Everything was over full retail price and when talking to who i assume was the owner it became clear he had no idea market trends and made up prices on the spot

I would like to start off by saying I don't understand all these bad reviews regarding the owners lol. They were really nice, super helpful, and willing to bargain on prices. Yes things were expensive AF but they were super flexible. You also need to remember that this is Tahoe and rent and living here in general in expensive, which is reflected in the price. I think a lot of these things aren't even donated, mainly things they may have owned and put up in their store. Like an in-person eBay, LOL. They were also super nice to everyone around us The item I wanted they gave me a discount & I had to go get cash from an ATM, and even though someone else was interested they held it for me. Sooo super nice and let the device charge to ensure it worked. It is **CASH ONLY** just a disclaimer :)

Incredibly unprofessional. Flipped me and and the children in our group off. Tried to blame us for damaging posters that he was charging $30 for that were already damaged. Told me to take my teenagers to McDonalds to play instead of shopping at his store. Super inappropriately close to my teenage girls. Do not waste your time here.

The prices were insanely high for shiite attire. it smelled like straight dookie and the owner was INCREDIBLY rude!!! i was looking at some OVERPRICED, ripped posters and he came up behind me and said, "can you stop ripping the posters?" i just put it back and my friends and i walked out. he then came up to our car and said to my dad, "your kids ripped all of my posters. what do you plan on doing about that?" RUDE!!! he flipped us off while we were driving away. DONT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OVERPRICED SHITTY CRAP!!!!

Outstanding customer service and super friendly. We found everything we were looking for and more. Mario and Martin gave us a fair price and great conversation. We will definatly be back next time we are in South Lake Tahoe!

Small thrift store with lots of junk, and VERY over priced. I love thrifting, but I would recommend skipping this place.

Way overpriced and I believe the sign you see first thing walking through the door that states "If you don't like the price we will bargain" is NOT sincere. His starting price for an encrusted no brand name cast iron skillet was $25 which was 2.5 times higher than what I actually paid at another store. He got rather defensive on my offers and kept coming back close to and justifying his original price. He appeared emotionally invested and I saw negotiating a lower price wasn't going to happen so I thanked him for his time and enjoyed looking at all the other things in his shop. I will also note the one I bought at the other store was actually name brand and did not need to be sandblasted and re-seasoned before use. On a positive note the shop had some interesting items and was as clean and neat as a junk shop can be but I could only window shop All that said I will not be back to this shop but I will instead enjoy the other 12-15 shops in town.

The assistant manager was very rude to me but they did have a good selection. Some of the prices were extremely overpriced for a thrift shop but overall I'd recommend going to others.

I don't think they deserve the low reviews. This place is not your typical thrift store--They might have some overpriced items, but they have a pretty curated collection: vintage jewelry, anatomical models, vintage tools, sports memorabilia, furniture... Definitely worth a visit
