I'm a Nicoya living in Washington state where Nicas are rare, as are Nicaraguan markets/restaurants, so this place was awesome. My sister took us there and I went ham and bought a bunch of rosquillas (Nicaraguan crunchy cookies), queso ahumado (smoked cheese) and queso frito (cheese used for frying, aka "queso frito").The older lady up front (named Argentina) was super sweet and helpful and pointed us to where things where. If I lived in LA, I'd definitely be a regular here.Even if you're not Nicaraguan, I'd still recommend checking it out and at least trying the rosquillas - they're made of corn masa, crunchy and great for dipping in coffee or just plain. The cheese for frying (aka queso para freir) is also good - slice it into 2 by 2 inch squares and fry it up straight up until it turns slightly red all around...no breading required.

Lots of Nicaranguan foods available. Bit expensive but worth the drive.

They have a good variety of Central American snacks including Nicaraguan. The owners don't seem to keep the store too clean because there is a lot of dust all over the products. Luckily I have not purchased any expired products that other people experienced. But I did experience being over charged and I did not realize it until I got home and reviewed my receipt . I was charged for more items than what I actually bought. I don't know if it was on purpose or by accident but it is very unprofessional either way. I'm not sure if I'll be returning.

Great food. Cooked on the spot or to take home and cook. Ask for seasoned Nicaraguan meat
