Very rude staff! Called on the phone to ask if they have Dungeness crabs and how much per lb. The lady told me to come check myself and hung up! We live 40 miles away that's why Im calling first before coming there not to waste gas and time.

I’m a regular consumer of the supermarket over last 6 years. I come here one a week. And recently it’s getting so bad. They are selling bad quality stuff and put them on sales to trick ppl. Such as: expired milk, fresh noodles and tofu… they should check quality and get rid of them, not put on the shelves for selling. Also for fruit they are rotten or really bad quality but they put on sales too, i bought 2 bags of Logan that was completely rotten inside $3.99 per pound, wasted $20. This is just an example of so many bad things that consider unethical business, other American supermarkets never put bad things for selling like this. Please do better job because i still want to come back but I don’t want to get cheated

You don't come here to hang out. You come to get decent quality produce for a good price. It is helpful if you speak Vietnamese especially with the guys working in the fish department. You're out of luck if you try to speak to them in Chinese or English. I usually come here to get their Dungeness crabs for a good price. Their other seafoods all have comparable prices to local markets. They carry just about anything and everything. This market is so big you can easily lose track of time looking at their stocked shelves.

This is a very large market that actually has a few shops around the marketplace. They sell mainly Asian groceries for a low price and I found a few ingredients here that’s hard to find in other asian markets. The interior is kinda smelly and there are boxes and crates blocking some isles. Other than that it was ok.

I bought a bottle of the beach wine and the only price tag there was 9.99. When we checked the receipt it was 16.99. We went back to ask and I took a picture of the shelf where the only price tag nearby says 9.99. The staff says I have to look at the name of the product, I can't depend on what it says on the shelf. Nowhere near the shelf is there a product that is 16.99 either. When asked if I could refund it or return it then, they said they could not because it was alcohol. There was no compensation given whatsoever. They just said we messed up with the tags but it's your fault for not reading the name. It was my bad to assume that the product cost the same amount as the price tag. She then took the sticker and placed it somewhere else which is very shady. Luckily I took a picture before she came and did that. Will not be going here again. Although it's not that much money, it's the principle of the matter.

Wow. This place is incredibly big. Lots of shopping space, things to buy, not crowded, good prices. Low prices on vegetables. Huge variety of things, spices, fresh seafood, so much. Hidden gem. Secret Asian shopping spot. Samples are cooked fresh like Costco.

One of the top asian food grocery stores in SGV/626 minus the Hmart prices.

This is probably one of the cleanest Vietnamese markets. They had everything here. It's such a big layout and well organized. It was my first time here and I needed assistance finding things and everyone I asked was friendly. They didn't speak much English but they were all patient and the broken Vietnamese I was able to speak did help. I was buying ingredients and cook wear to make bun rieu so I walked through pretty much the entire market. This is probably my new favorite viet market. A lot cleaner than the ones in OC.

Went to El Monte supermarket for their fresh fruits. Took my time picked the best ones; however upon paying lady help bagging threw/ dropping each pcs in the bag with no care or she putting her frustration and anger on my fruits. Once I got home to check many are already bruised from her carelessness. Very upsetting after spending $45 and time picking the best ones and majority are bruised! This is my first and last time going to El Monte Supermarket.

This supermarket sells really low quality food one of the food is beef, the meat smells really bad and even has worms in it, also the ice cream too, the ice cream has ice crystals in it and the texture is very weird, because it's not smooth and it feels like a cake. I recommend not buying food from this market.

7/30/23 This store is far from me & it's not my usual go-to for Asian inspired groceries, but it's not too far from my auntie's house in Pico Rivera. This market is MASSIVE for Asian inspired groceries. Price point is affordable. They get 4 stars for having a great big inventory of items and it looks pretty organized & fairly clean. I grabbed kabocha, sweet rice, green mango, onion & okra (good price @ $1.59/lb) a couple of lemon wafers for the crew and bok choy Surprisingly I didn't find banana peppers. I visited the seafood & meat department & I saw live crab for $6.99/lb. Lots of types of mollusks-some I've never encountered at regular supermarkets. The fresh produce: fruits & vegetables, is filled with an assortment of tropical types not found at in regular stores, too. Although, jackfruit, durian, lychee & rambutan can be found at the 99 Ranch market, this store seems to have plenty more and 'look' fresh as well. There are individual booths within this store that sell clothes, freshly prepared snacks (desserts like rice cakes, fresh shrimp rolls, boba, dried fruits/fish/jerky, etc). Parking is free & plentiful, there's a guard there to stand watch. If I lived closer, I would shop here more often. The cashier was efficient, not the friendliest one but not rude either--oh and you get to bag your own groceries, so there's that. Thankfully I didn't buy bagfuls this time. Overall, I would like to explore more to see what else they have to offer.

Produce quality sucks with high prices. Customer service needs to improve. Need English speaking associates. Hard a hard time finding someone to help me finding Dungeness crabs
